Simply put, when is he going to be replaced. He is merely a puppet of SOE.

Why do you think this Emperador? Is it because all the problems have not been fixed yet? Give it time, it will be fixed. SanTsu has always seemed very helpfull to me.

I hope Emperador applies, and is accepted next month. Then he can deal with people like him.

That was simply put. IMO San-Tsu has been very reasonable and effective. Take a look at the purpose of the correspondant, which is to become the conduit from us to the SOE developers. He's doing just that. He's prioritizing what he believes can be changed and filtering the whine from everyone else. If you look at what is going to float to the top of the list of the developers queue it's easy.

1. Showstoppers that affect everyone like server performance (Who likes lag?)

2. Bugs that affect everyone.

3. Exploits

4. Showstoppers that affect profession progression (we have none as I've seen masters about)

5. Bugs in a profession.

6. Content development

7. Enhancing playability for all.

8. Dealing with specific profession issues.

If you want to see a change bumped up the queue. Suggest something that will enhance the playabiltity of all characters. I look constantly look at many of the profession forums and they are only concerned about what's in it for me. I suggest you take a larger view, rather than make an inane statement about someone trying to help you from a position that is new and not fully developed.

Inane view. Funny.

As for my non-support for our current correspondent, I base these thoughts from what I have read from these forums. Just a matter of oppinion. If I am the minority then so be it, I will still believe what I want to believe.

As for looking at the bigger picture. Sure the changes that we all seek are not going to come in the form of one all perfect patch. That is just the nature of this beast, which was only created by an earlier then necessary release.

I as well, read many of the forums on SOE, looking to add my thoughts about that and this and everything else in between. As a smuggler, I feel it is necessary to spark many thoughts and ideas. Even ideas that I seem to only think or want.

Yeah I imagine the correspondents job is no easy task, considering it is just a feeble attempt by the devs to appaise the masses. I also want to see a correspondent that limits his thoughts to what is right and wrong. He/she is responsible for picking through the many piles of poo, that we all shovel onto them and passing that along to a developement team that is non-responsive to the consumer.

Is he doing a good job, well I that is for everyone to decide and both yours and my decission are important, for this correspondent and all that should follow.

Simply put, your last post was much more comprehensive and thought out than your first. Kudos.

Personally, I consider slicing IV effectively a "showstopper".

it's not only an easy problem to fix (it's a simple math equation gone awry) but it's effectively wrecked everyone who got to slicing IV.

The description says Slicing IV can double the effects of Slicing II. Hell all they'd have to do is find the equation, put it in parenthesis, and multiply it by 2 and EVERYONE would be happy.

Spice experimentation doesnt work for anything either, but I can understand this is a bit of a more complex issue - so I would not expect that to be a top priority fix.

Finally, noob smugglers should not be allowed to use tools above their level. I believe this too is a simple fix, and would make all these lazy bums EARN master slicer - instead of churning out factory crates of clamps at Novice Smuggler.

Something that has been bothering me about the whole correspondent issue is I see other correspondents in other forums talking about their 2nd and 3rd emails to Sony, where SanTsu has said that he hasn't received a reply back from his first email.

Now, I know there's a difference between inquiring what's going on and constantly pestering them, but San, have you sent any follow-up emails asking what the delay is in getting back to you on your first email?

If you've just been sitting there waiting for a reply all this time and not sending out a reminder email, you need to at least do that and get some type of reply from Sony.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

While I may not agree with SanTsu on certain things, and while I may have issues with some of his past responses, I don't see how he's a "puppet" of SOE. He's been on the boards a long time. He's a poster. A player. He's volunteered to listen to a thousand yammering voices and some how try and pull out a constructive and encompassing opinion. He's not an employee. He's gaining no benefits. And, apparently, judging by that last email he got from them, gets no more attention or communication than any of the rest of us (and that's not a dig at anybody, the dev's are busy, then they're busy, they can only do so much at one time, and have already done more than many other devs for other games). So, while I can see that you have issues with SanTsu, which is unavoidable considering the hundreds of personalities, wants and desires of this board alone, I don't see how you get that he's a "puppet." He's done everything his position has enabled and required him to do, which is monitor our concerns and gather them into a concise, intelligeble report for SOE's consideration. That's all he, or any community rep, is capable of doing. So unless you got photos of him washing BoShek's car, I don't see how you get he's a "puppet."
