I was over at the TKA boards and I read a post with some interesting information. It may or may not be true, but if its true it could really be a big change. A Concussion Shot mez would be much better than root if its true.

Mez will be worthless against Necrosis, root is vital. You *MUST* keep him from returning to recharge and only root does that. Mez will keep him from it too, but as soon as you hit, it's over with and he has full control back. Mez has a single purpose, keeping adds out of the fight.

Root is wonderful against everything. Every single target needs to be rooted at some point, either to give ranged time to get more shots in or to keep it still for melee. Mez has very limited uses, only against grouped mobs and only to hold off ads.

Really wish Concussion Shot was staying a root, but oh well. Guess people will get used to dying more.

Read the quote. The guy supposedly heard at Fanfest that roots are supposed to break on damage. That means root will be even more useless than mez.

The guy most likely misheard a dev mentioning Concussion Shot being turned into a mez that breaks on damage rather than a root.

Well you never know. It would not be the first game where roots break on damage. An interesting claim either way until we know the truth.

and drop the smugglers #5 in "mezzing" to a 2. IN all honesty....what lvl 76-82 target can be killed in less than 40 seconds? Think about this as well. Th smuggler is going to have to turn off auto-attack. He roots something, and about a second later...he fires off another round breaking the root.

they are just go0nna have to sit back, and .....keep the "adds" off everyone....fun ...bleh I dont think so

root is not something for the I WIN button. i left smuggler because its not working right. ROOT is for a get away....something to buy you time for a heal...or a run...or a set up for another shot. not to immobilize for a pounding. when i realized this i gave up smuggler because i felt that concussionshot(which lasts 40 secs as it sits now) is not fair to use in pvp which i am still learning the ropes to.

i gave up something i enjoyed to be fair on others.......man if more ppl would think like thins...SWG could be saved.MEH like that would happen.


CONCUSSIONSHOT will be nerfed

i am in an active guild war,,,,and have yet to be killed in the raoming i do because i am not predictable. yes i have my hangouts but i never take the same route twice.ask andone in IEF on wanderhome how often im found traveling around.


root=i win at the moment...and i refuse to be an exploiter.

Amazing when people act like total asses when they're talking out of them...

If you used your brain for half a second (I know it's hard, but give it a shot) you would realize that if they made a root break on damage it would be useless because it would basically be the same as a mez that would still allow ranged opponents to shoot you. So why use a root when a mez works 100% better?

You need to think before you post. It makes you look less like an ass.
