Thread: A few CU noob questions
2) find friend only works if the person you are find friending has you on their friends list as well. If you both have eachother on your friends list you just type /findfriend (their name)
3) I think they are not working cause of the problems with all AOE attacks
Question no. 4
If your certed for both recon and assault armor can you mix and match with no penalty?

correct
Unless something has changed in the last few days bomb droids are working fine.
I had produced a few of them prior to dropping Droid Engineer, and tested a couple after CU went live. The cost efficient MSE model substantially damaged(about 1/4 health)the the idio... err volunteer, whereas the Expensive yet effective R3 'CraterMaker' Droidwould have incapped the poor fool had he not been wearing armor.
Only one Volunteer was available(read: willing) so I'm unsure of the PvP AoE effectiveness. I guarentee that I will test that as soon as I encounter a large PvP battle.

Actually, you don't have to have the person on your list. It works even if the person just has you on their list.

/woot
However, keep in mind that all your hinderances will be based on the highest stats from all armor you wear. So if you have high movement Hinderance on one Assault part, and low on Recon, the Assault hinderance will be the one that takes effect.

I'm not sure if this is still true, but I know in the TC3 I was able to /findfriend anyone. I remember having no friends list and going to find keck, and Jorus, and Wes, etc. I'm pretty sure I wasn't on their friends list either since it was just after one of the wipes.
This may not be the case anymore though, or may not be the case in Live.
Yes the person you are trying to blow up has to be attackable... or they won't take damage.. Imagine if you could just bomb everyone, Somewhere a disgruntled scoundrel would have to blow one of these things up in a busy cantina, and that wouldn't be cool!

Other rumor was that you needed to be in combat with the person for the AOE to have effect.

Being attackable and being in combat are two different things. Currently, the bomb droids are, well, borked.
