Same here, loving the improvements. Strange thing though, I got 7 straight 7% Eff slices on a set of Rebel Assault armor.

My BH will end up with it, for the expect opposite reason my secondary Smugg will have it. The dirty tricks ![]()
My main will be the Ranged Tripple Threat: Master Smuggler, Master Marksman, Master Pistoleer and the rest thrown into Commando I guess

Ya'll KNOW I love this temp.
I have never felt so useful with a ranged prof. The MS/MBH combo of rooting and hitting with Damage attacks (using Commando weaps and ULTRA fast FWGs) is a MUST.
I haven't tried to hunt any Jedi yet but I am anxious to give it a whirl. However, I DID go overt- I mean, SPECIAL FORCES before I logged out last time and I'm going to try running around like that and see how exciting that is for a while.

Tried it, personally don't like it, the defense is good, but the speed and accuaracy it lacking, had more fun with Mpistol/Msmuggler

I've only lost one duel and that was to a Master Swordsman/Master Doc. Master Smuggler, Master Pistoleer, 0004 BH. I'm holding my own in PvP also.

I started with the MS/MBH/Commando 4000 template, but I've since dropped Commando in favor of a line of Pistoleer (0040, I think). I haven't been particularly impressed with the speed/accuracy, and I don't know enough about the calculations involved with Defenses to know if 200ish is comparable to the 300+ that stackers are getting.
I do love the flexibility, though. Having a wealth of great Specials available (Adv. Crit, Stopping Shot, Spray/Fanshot,debuffers, etc.) is great, particularly since the overlapping ones are on separate timers (Fanshot/Sprayshot for example). I'm looking forward to Smuggler specials getting fixed so I can use those as well. We have a wide access to excellent weapons that *almost* makes the conversion-nerfing of my DE-10s bearable, and of course, free access to both specialized armor types.
I'm confused about the current usefulness of pistols, however. With their limited range, they leave the user vulnerable to melee attackers (ie Jedi), as well as vulnerable to being kited by longer-ranged shooters. So in a typical pvp-combat situation, I'm finding myself switching to a longer-ranged weapon (rifle or LLC), even though my non-General Ranged bonuses are all in pistol. Maybe once I get a better feel for the CU I'll figure out where pistols are useful, but I'm at a loss at the moment.
So I like MBH, for sure. I might consider switching to something more combat-oriented like MBH/Rifles or MBH/Carbines, but the market for faction and slicing is just too good to pass up at the moment.

Started as a commando, then went commando/smuggler to smuggler/BH. I was hoping that commando had a little more punch in their weapons, I guess. As soon as I started doing the same damage (aside from theAOE, or DOT) with my FWG5 without aggroing all the creatures around into killing me, I realized I needed some damage specials. Picking them off and using my dirty tricks one at a time with some BH damage specials is really fun.

Well i did my first PVP today. Heres how it went.
1. load into starport.
2. get attacked.
3. eyeshot
4. spamm advanced critical shot.
5. poison ticksmy life down alot.
6. last ditch
7. deathblow.
Its funny how un-complicated and un-thought-provoking the new combat is. I did the exact same thing for 20-30 kills before they sent in a gank squad and i just ran off and went combatant.
combat medic needs to get nerfed, wheneveryone you fight start chucking poisons and setting you on fire theres a problem.one time i didnt even get shot by the guy and i was at almost 10% health on the first tick O_o
I'd rather see a doctor with area heals and combatBONUSES which i think is more fitting.
