I'm very happy so far!

Tried some Bounty Hunting - nice new content to play with. Loving the new renegade and scatters that I have (not the best damage as they are both slightly sub 800) but the best thing seems to be the specials working together.

I'm still trying to work out which ones are best to fit on my toolbar for ease of use (need to fit in overhelming somewhere I think, might lose low blow as Underhand seems to work fine) but so far it's working well - even to the point where for the first time ever I can be around a krayt dragon and not die instantly, whether in a group or (/whisper) soloing canyon Krayts...

As a group player, it rocks. Stand back and hit the roots and snares as well as blind, dizzy and knockdown, plus dealing some serious damage with torso and critical shot.

I've got high hopes for last ditch as my krayt killer, too

One question. Anyone use auto attack? I tried but I seem to fair better without it, picking my shots as and when I need them.

My current template is MBH/MS/Pistoleer 0-4-0-0. I am liking the specials from MS and MBH together.

I considered MS/Master Carbineer and tried it on TC3 last night. I think with the additional defense MBH offers, the Duelist Stance, the PvE content, and the possibilities of a good LLC and Proton Carbine, it makes sense to stick with MBH.

I may move my Pistoleer to 4-0-0-0 or 2-2-0-0 for extra speed and/or ranged accuracy, and to pick up Warning Shot. I have been hearing that's a great debuff.

I like rolling in and laying a Concussion Shot to root, and then it's debuff time. I have been playing with mixing in an Overwhelming shot but have been skipping it, since the Advanced Critical chews them up pretty nicely before they unroot. If it is getting close to the unroot time, I toss the Restraining Shot on them, but it doesn't seem to stick as well or as hard as the Concussion root.

My favorite trick of knocking down doesn't seem to be as handy. I like Underhand shot but the recipient seems to get up pretty fast. I haven't had a Dizzy/KD dead-fish flop since the CU, so maybe that kill button move is gone.

I have to admit I'm tempted to try this template. Right now I'm Master Smuggler/Commando (Thermal Detonators: When you care enough to send the very best) and it's a lot of fun.

Yeah, I wrote a pretty comprehensive look at some MS/MBH combos but I accidentally closed it before I finished.

Oh well, maybe I will try again after some testing.

I noticed that you can almost instantly hit Advanced Critical after Concussion shot. Torso too for that matter.

I've also gotten people to flop using a combo of Concussion, Confusion and Underhand but I don't know in which order OR if it was because I did it with an LBC.

I gotta play a little more tobe sure.

I think though some rules have changed because it used to be that I would have to wait a secor two before hitting Advanced Critical after Concussion AND all of a sudden I couldn't use Concussion with my T21 last night.

...man, that was a cool thread I was gonna post.

as far as I'm concerned if ytou are going to spend a few points to get a pistoleer special or two the most impt one to have is intimidate shot. It's freaking wicked. I've gone 0030 to get that and am tossing the rest into FS speed and accuracy

Fishbrains are you finding intimidate more useful than stopping shot? I like the MS/MBH pistol 0004 I am using, just curious though what the best pistol specials arefor this temp.

Does this template go to CL 80?(I'd like to stay at CL 80 where my MSmuggler/MRifleman is currently)

I think I'd love the crowd control options with MBH/MS, and the nervousness I would have at needing to be within 35 to do them just makes it more interesting.

It's a great template for the RP types too.

MS/MBH is not CL 80 on it's own. You still have points to dabble up to that though.

I experiencedthe "nervousness" of having an enemy within 35m last night and learned the hard way that I need to keep an eye on my damn navigation tool.

I swear that red dot was far away and then next thing I know I'm gettin' shot.

Anyway youcan still keep people at a gooddistance using an Advanced Laser Rifle or T21, you just won't be able to one shot them like you used to with Rifleman.

I've recently returned to SWG after a long break - and I must say that CU is .... interesting.

My Template is MS/MBH/Pistoleer 2 0 0 0.

That leaves me with 8 Skill Points to spare (+ 29 precious Skill Points wasted on the useless Brawler 4 0 0 0 tree )

Can any veterans enlighten me on how I can use my remaining 8 Skill Points on FS skills?

I've long heard about it but dont knowhow or where to start.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Hawke.

First, you must become "Glowy". You can check to see your current status in the force with the command "/checkforce". If you are not "Glowy", then you need to go badge hunting. Glowy requires several types of badges. I'll recite the ones I can remember.

1 Profession Mastery
3 Jedi Location(Ben Kenobi's Hovel is an example)
3 Difficult/Dangerous POI badges(Sulfur Pool under Fort Tusken, Krayt Graveyard)
5 Easy POI badges(Theed Falls)
At least 3 Content badges(Rebel/Imperial/Hutt/Nym Themeparks are examples)

That's all I can remember, once you get Glowy, you'll eventually be met by an "Old Man"(that's really his name), he'll ask you some questions, then ask you to hold onto a Crystal for him. Typically, within 72 hours after this, you'll be attacked by a pair of "Sith Shadows". Think of slightly tougher Meatlumps. Loot thier corpses. On one, you'll find a datapad which gives you the waypoint to a small camp. Go to it and kill three more of these, two thug types, one who can actually fight moderately.

You'll then gain access to the Force Sensitive Village, Arillia. From there, you talk to quest givers on the inside who will unlock Force sensitive branches when you finish thier quests(one branch per phase, one phase per 3 weeks), and you can trade regular experience for Force Sensitive experience(four types, Force Sensitive Combat, Reflexes, Sences, and Crafting), which you then use to train up your force senstive skills. Force Sensitive Combat skills can increase your Melee & Ranged Speed & Accuracy. Force Sensitive Reflex skills can increase your Melee & Ranged defences, Vehicle(ground only) speed & control, and Survival mods(better camps, better harvesting, more terrain negotiation, better foraging). Good luck.

Actually I don't have stopping shot. Although I did as a test, respeced to 0300 pistoleer instead of 0030. The +15 accuracy that I get from the move helps

Hmm not a bad idea, besides that concussion shot seems to work for me more often than stopping shot. I may give that a shot and hit up the extra accuracy.

plus the cooldown timer is MUCH less on Concussion shot so that you can keepo a target rooted for as long as you want.
