Thread: Smuggler increase because of revamp?

I was thinkin bout the smugglerrevamp and when it will come (if it ever does), and I thought about how ppl are gonna all master smuggler for when it finally does come. i mean, right now, thereare not that many smugglers, and in all honesty, i like it. i like bein part of the minorty that is smuggling. and i love bein a smuggler. but when the revamp comes out, theres gonna be a smuggler round every corner. I just wanna know what all u think about that.. do u all think this will happen?

There, now I can read it lol.
I like that smugglers have a tight knit community... but I think there's more smuggler's out there than you realise. Do you walk around with your tag up... I sure don't... Hell, I go anonymous most of the time so peeps can search me to ask me to slice for them.

Anywho. More Smugglers? well, yeh, there's probably gonna be more smugglers when the revamp gets put in, but that's how things go, new exciting things draws a new crowd. I think however, after a while, the numbers will settle back down (at least percentage wise) simply because there's always going to be that new thing going, there's many many who simply want to own everything in combat, or be the best at crafting whatever. Also, as scall said, there's a bunch of smugglers out there now who hold the profession dear to their heart so much that they won't drop it, even if they don't/rarely use it.
Eventually, you'll be left with those that're true smugglers at heart. Will there be any 'none smuggler types' as we define those in the 'community' today? sure, but then every group has their black sheep.

Back to the topic at hand, ive noticed a lot of people working up to smuggler already.I think its because everyones going to want to be the great pilot, and who was the best pilot in the movies? Han Solo, thats who! (hokey religions aside)

Smuggler is about attitude, it's a mindset, a lifestyle. Skill boxes do not make a smuggler.

I wouldn't be to concerned by the revamp making more smugglers, though it will at first because new stuff always draws attention. What it will probably do is bring back many of the smugglers who left because they got tired of waiting for the revamp. I wouldn't be to worried though.... when's the smuggler revamped scheduled...... nobody knows anymore, but when it does arrive I think it will make smuggling a real possibility and add an entirely different atmosphere for the smuggler if done right. Hopefully we'll have so much fun being a smuggler we won't care if everyone else is too.... hopefully.... if they listen to Caylin and others from the forums.

Solo was one of the least exciting smugglers in the trilogy and EU. Lando and Karrde baby, that's what it's all about

I never found the fascination for either personally.
Lando, the businessman. Never really did much for me. Once you know he is a businessman and a good sabacc player, he never surprised me.
Karrde was always in the information business and while his organization did do alot of smuggling, I personally have not found a book where I enjoyed him as an actual character. The depth was never there for me to enjoy.
Han Solo has a developed past, with a great deal of interaction. The family conflicts combined with the ones centered on his past gave him more for me to appreciate than most others.

Anyone else hoping there's a smuggler-certed ship or special smuggler piloting abilities post-JTL & Revamp? That'd be sweet. I want a YV Transport like Bossk's...
