Ok, so I am sitting here, not 5 minutes ago, reading through the forums, watching Stargate SG-1 (yeah, I'm bored) and all of a sudden my attention is taken away from my monitor because there's a commercial for SWG on the TV. Since it's the first one I've seen, I watch it, interested in seeing what it says.

Aside from all of the scenes showing Jedi (grr. like that's all this game is about) there's some guys talking about all of the characters you can meet in the game. They go through a small list of names (Han, etc...) and then they mention Yoda.

Since when has Yoda been in the game?? I've never seen him. I've never even heard of him being in here.

That ad is terribly misleading. Han walking into Eisley cantina with Chewie? If only.

Never seen a Ship Crafting station that looked like the one there.

Jedi this, Jedi that...

A fleet of jet packs flying by... how many can be crafted currently with the DWB in the state it is in?

Nice and catchy add though... too bad it captures the GCW better than the game can.

If this doesn't make you laugh. The first time I saw that commercial, was when they were doing the patch for the multi-player speeders, you know, the patch that kept the game down for almost 24hrs. Well, during the commercial, this guy says that it's always up...24/7. I couldn't but laugh and say: "Yeah, unless they are doing a patch, then it's down for 24 of that 7...rofl still

Ok, I somehow can't find the commercial with actual people talking there.

Just the usual trailer-type stuff. Am I that inept?

Yeah, it's a little too much "hype", but having a 5 minute commerical of people endlessly clicking through crafting screens or shooting hundreds of gnorts probably wouldn't attract a lot of new users!

I remember when my friend and I who had never played a MMORPG picked up the boxes at Gamestop. Hey, you can be a Jedi! Wow, I want to be one! Me too! How cool would that be? I bet there is a real cool way to become a Jedi! Ooo, but they're going to be RARE!

Click onGallery and then use the Trailers tab... it should start by default.

The bit that cracked me up was the guys saying "...and it's there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Whenever you want it!". Obviously these guys havn't tried to play in the last months much, between the CU and Pub17 there were DAYS of downtime.
