I'm not dropping my prices...10k per slice...
Of course...I haven't actually sliced anything for an actual client for almost a month...I've got better things to do with my time than stand around being a slice whore. So, the only time I generally get asked is when I'm breezing through a busy starport with my tag up. I figure if they want me to stop what I'm doing, they can pay the price or wait for the next sucker to come along...

Has the solo nerf actually gone into effect yet. I know it was slated to come out, but they pulled it at the last minute or something.
I think it will be tremendously healthy for the game. Remember when Luke told Han that he could almost buy his own ship for 10,000? I thoroughly expect that money will start having its worth more in the ballpark it is supposed to be in.
I mean.. c'mon.. you can buy suits of armor that cost 100 times what Luke claimed he could buy a starship for... geezus...

I think people are overstating how much impact this "nerf" will have on the economy...
There were plenty of creds flowing before people discovered solo-grouping...there will continue to be credits flowing AFTER the solo-grouping...
There will always be a next "best" way to make quick and easy credits. It may take a month or so until the mentality of the playerbase evolves and finds the next "best" way...but they will eventually find it.

i love all the smugglers that dont slice...
every time i log into cnet or theed, i get a ton of /tells asking for a slice. and those desperate people will pay almost anything
as for the solo "nerf", it's a load of bull, running high end missions in a group is still an effective source of income. it's how we played when the game first started, so nothing new there.

Yeah, and if you do like me, I've been holding onto my credit chip(looted credits in space) by not cashing it in since Novice Rebel Pilot. I currently have a credit chip worth half a million. I don't think I'll ever cash it in, I'll probably drop it in my Nova Courrier as a decoration.
If people really need money, they can kill stuff in space for a month, then cash the chip in. Its not an exceptional amount, nor is it fast, but you can make decent credits like that.

Don't slice so I wouldn't know. Solo groups being nerfed is a good thing. until the CU comes, there are still other ways to make a living. Haven't done them for months myself.

Um, if you take a 30k mission in a solo group you're only gonna get 1500 credits for it now. Not exactly what I call an "effective source of income."

I think Zhagadska don't mean as solo group, he mean as "group", period. You know, like it is usually done in other games.
A MCH friend of mine and I group together, each with our pets, to grab missions. Then we actually DO the missions together. With my terminal slicing, we grabbed a few 30k missions. Sure, I got 15k for it, but we had 4 missions to do before we got home to pick others.
It is a tad slower than solo missions? Well, for someone with an elite combat prof, I guess so. But it is far from crappy. I think seeing almost everyone solo grouping instead of working together was never intended, so it was a fix more than a nerf.
Allowing peoples to play solo if they want is good, but when nobody ever group, there is a problem.

I can only dream
I also dream of landing at Jabbas (as a Rebel Pilot) to get SMUGGLER missions from Jabba
or landing at Nym's to get SMUGGLER missions from Nym.
I am just preparing my wishlist for the Smuggler Revamp ![]()

Woah, wasn't by me, btw. I very rarely 1-star and certainly not for some disagrement.
