anyone else notice that now people realise they get fp while declared inspace are farming fp and nolonger by it? Why buy fp for a base form asmuggler when you can grind it in a day or two in deep space?

Thanks again devs, we know you loves us.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I've thought of this too. The requirement to be overt means that some people won't do it, and of course there are always the super-rich who'll pay millions just to save them a little bit of effort, but it's bound to cut into what left of the faction-sale market.

What worries me is the idea of professional pilot faction-farmers who are good enough to be able to grind out and sell faction so easily that they can afford to sell below 100 cpu andundercut us. I think the only reason it hasn't happened yet is because the market for faction is so low already, but if it does happen, it'll kill off yet another part of our profession.

I have seen this too they still come to me with their points to have me buy their stuff since they do not get the deep discount I do as a human smuggler.

um dude, i havent sold FP in 6 months....this is not a result of people farming in JTL....theres people that would rather spend time farming then paying our ridiculous prices...b/c face it, the prices we charge are horrendous b/c the devs force it to be that way....we need new revenue streams besides FP...

True but i get between 120 and 150 creds a point , particularly from rebels who nede to t=sort their 5k neg facton out, then because we rp a bit, and i explain that post sologroup erf they need to ruly solo with their Atst.. They then proceed to grind the ranks adn the Atst. At elast anyone whos a decent combat proff does this. As Im zabrak iM never going to buy basesf or people, just give them fp to do what they will withj it. Ihave ahuman colonel exmaste smuggler mate, who is now in chimera, adn ahrdly ever gfoes on farstar, thus menaing the double team wont be happening. And bases arent pvp lead anymore, as all the pvpers, are gridning out ridiuclous jedi templates, thus keepingthem out of ordinary peoples hair (at least a bit anywyas.)

In the long run, they are doing us a favor.. think of all the smugglers now who won't suffer carpal tunnel now that they don't go through the million click process of a large FP order

You can also make it work to your advantage. Yes you'll lose out on some business, but you can make more on the business that you still do by going up and getting gobs of FP yourself. You can also make it up in other ways. For example, I've started charging a premium to rebels who jump ship to become Imperial. I mean c'mon... They're rebels who cares if you take a bit more off the top. Charging an extra 1-200k isn't going to make them change their minds.

And I've still been doing alot of fp sales myself. It hasn't really cut into my business at all that I've noticed.
