This is a post on the JtL forum from someone who's come from the GenCom JtL showing: Clickity.

The two big things from this are that there's going to be an elite shipwright profession requiring (at the moment) mastery of Shipwright and that the YT-1300 does not come like the Falcon as standard

"
I spent the first few minutes of play time as a gunner on a yt 1300 that someone else was piloting. If you are reading the forums here, im sorry, but you need some work as a pilot! I realized JUST HOW HARD it will be to hit starfighters in the turrets of that ship. With the ship moving, and you moving, its hard as hell to keep them in your sights. Good communication with the pilot is going to be KEY with this ship. The LA rep also said that continutiy buffs shouldnt worry about the yt1300, it is set right now to not even come with weaponry, but it will most likely come stock with a blaster cannon, but not the hoss turrets everyone is using right now. He couldnt say how else it will come modified or not, said its not an NDA on that, just that the decision isnt made. But to note, THE YT1300 WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE FALCON THEY ARE SHOWING OFF IN THE VIDS AND TRADE SHOWS!!

Of course.

The Millenium Falcon wasn't even close to being a stock YT-1300. The computer system itself was southern engineering at its finest. No less than three droid brains reverse engineered into the whole of the system. many of the ships systems themselves were also rerouted and/or double routed to be quickly accessable from the cockpit. The ship even had military grade Laser Cannons and Heavy Shield Generators. I won't even start on the hyperdrive.

That's just a little bit about it.

NO-ONE should expect to get a ship exactly like the Millenium Falcon in the game. That thing was an example of modification in the extreme.

Anyway, I just hope that they have YT-2000s in the game.

(Corellian Engineering Corp makes them stock with double laser turrets)

What? You expected to be able to buy a ship that is on par with the Millenium Falcon right off the bat?

Question is :

Can you be shipwright, spaceship engineer and smuggler (all at master) at the same time ?

Plus Neutral Master Pilot (the later yes, because its from another pool).

Have fun

No. Not if they're charging the same SP as current novice and elite professions.

You could me Master Smuggler, Master Shipwright, Ship Engineer 4-4-4-0 (with 4 spare SP), or obviously, Smuggler 4-4-4-0, Master Shipwright, Master Ship Engineer.

Yep, and there goes my plans to be the official supplier of Starships to my guild. Definately can't master Starship Engineering with Master Doc. Now I'm going to have to go through that whole FS crap, just so I can have a second character. Crap. Might as well make her a Master Artisan as well, and provide all sorts of Transportation.

Hey, I am into this game to reach and exceed the performance that "Doc", Han and Chewie got out of the "Falcon". And if I have to hunt down and reverse engineer every single technology they offer in JTL and the "slice" / tune my ride to the max, so be it.

Have fun

I think its way cooler to get a standarized ship, mod the hell out of it, and have something that noone else has.
Think of the bragging posibillities
