I love the video.


Congrats to the people that put it together. Entertainers and AFK entertaining is a major issue and needs to be addressed. When they take out recursive macros this will help alot...

But I do agree smugglers need content. The Hutt Casino would be great for an addition to smugglers and entertainers. Give us missions to do from the Hutt Casino, be it simple container delivery missions. Have items that we could possibly steal and not deliver... then in return give us visibility depending on level of smuggler.

Just the addition of smuggler missions that simple would be great... also allowing the Hutt Casino to be a haven for ATK entertainers... figuring out how to weed out the AFK entertainers is the part I have trouble imagining.

All in all, the video was really done well... and you should have your hand slapped for calling them a bunch of whiners.

Look at alot of the smuggler forum posts and how much we whine... Maybe if there were AFK slicers you would be a little more upset. Imagine if there was a way to slice through macros and trade items through macros also... it would ruin smuggler.

Well entertainer, EVERYTHING in entertainer can be done by macro... Think about that.

I support the need for smugglers to get developer attention. I support squad leaders. I support every profession that needs serious work and I'm happy for those that have gotten some attention.

The point of the video isn't to say that entertainers are any better or worse off than any other profession. The point of the video is to say that live entertainers are in some seriously deep trouble, many cannot make a living, and though the developers have tried to improve things, they have only served to make things worse with their actions. It may surprise you to find out that if we could roll back all the changes the devs have made to us since the beginning, many of us would choose to do that. We'd actually rather be in the same position as smugglers, having had no changes, because we'd actually be in better shape than we are now.

Don't be so quick to judge others as "whiners". We players need to support one another.

I am smuggler and a dancer, does this mean I get the most *wine*, I hope so, I could use a good drink. Though I am trying to post more, relearn the old game mechanics, and learn the new ones - I dont have anything to complain about!!! Sure they can do things to please some but that will upset others, and vice versa.

I play the game just fine, because I play it the way I want to play it. Now Javy and many of my other ent friends (or I like to think they are) maybe upset That I Mastered Dance via Afk. And you know what, If I could master smuggler via afk I would also. Why?? Because I believe its not how you get the profession your after its what you do with it once you get it.

Why be a smuggler if its a broken profession? It is not a broken profession, people just dont want what they have. My friend says I know everybody. I wish I did, but as a smuggler isnt it my job to have connections? Im sure I have now over 50 names of people who are smugglers on my friendlist, and Im sure that 95% of them, if they saw me in a cantina dancing wouldnt even know that I am in the same underworld as them. I saw a guy in the cantina spamming for 'Free slice on containers'. Mos Eisley Cantina has two storm troopers stationed there. I know they dont do anything, but I dont solicit criminal activities in front of NPCd nor Players. Now I know how hard it is to get to that first tier. Well actually I dont. I was huntung meatlumps and would have done it for a long time until I met a saviour. I disclosed why I hunt them and got a bag of 20 locked containers. Another incident, I was out gaining pistol xp out on the dunes. A sandstorm was approaching and as they do in the real star wars I searched for shelter. The first open house I ran into happened to have another 20 locked containers. Now I was gonna send an email asking if I could slice them but decided not to because I as a smuggler 'broke' into his house. Well he happened to drop by the cantina one day and we discussed it. Though he was confused as to why I ran from a sandstorm he allowed me to slice them all. Oh, off on another tangent, back to the thread...

So are we gonna have a contest to see who can whine the loudest, or who can get pushed back the most. Either way SOE still gets our monthly dues. So why not just play the game as we want to, have our fun, meet other people (who I pray are nice, friendly, supportive, and also believe they are in a galaxy far far away). I just dont understand what the problem is?

Play with this crop, Pray for what will pass.

I guess I should have watched the video before commenting lol. I actually had to read it once and then watch it again.

Did anyone watch it and say "Hey look there is a smuggler representing"? Maybe not I was wearing a revealing skirt in it, lol.

I was thinking of ghetto boys - D%$n it feels good to be a gangsta, but thats to much censorship needed so we will just do it to.....

Entertainers aren't the first profession to have their faults captured on video. Awhile back, someone made this video about commandoes. Believe it or not, it isn't as hard to make a video like these as one would think. Here is a nice post that sums up what you need to make one.

I actually think that this had a very poingniant point to make. As a Smuggler I feel the lack of attention, but I am not being systematically replaced by bots that can be left behind to slice automatically either. The main difference between SWG and the other games is that it is inherently more social and provides a broader range of activities than Crafting and Fighting. The way it stands now, there is little to no reason to be an entertainer, which goes against the very concept of the game. IMHO its professions like Entertainers, Musicians and Dancers that make this game better than its counterparts who treat musicians as an excuse to make a toon travel faster.
