Thread: How much should i charge for slicing?
I charge 1,000,000, 000 for a level 1 dmg slice. 124,876 for level 2 and .38472 for a level 3, just so it's more economical to get all three. Oh, and you have to get them all at once, otherwise, the subesquent slices are just as expensive as the first.
Most people can't afford my speed slices. And armor? LOL have you seen how rare the components are? Someone would have to pay for my account fees for one year before I'd do an armor slice......

It is totally dependant on how much you have to pay for slicing components.

What he said. For now, I did a respec to MBH so I can get ICB's and DTA's for cheap. Since I have lots of them now, I only charge around 100-150k for most weapon slices. Now armor break slices... charge out the wazoo for those unless the customers wants to go fetch the comps for you. SAP's are going for 300k+ on Bria right now, since they are so rare and everybody wants the AB slice. Reactive micro platings are somewhat cheaper (I get them sometimes from MBH marks) but they still aren't as cheap as the weapon slice comps.
So yeah, charge an arm and a leg for armor break slices. If they want it bad enough, they'll pay. If not, you can save your comps for somebody who does.

In other words, the system is completly broken. Besides the fact out market jumped from about 5k a slice to 150k per slice, something must be wrong. The rarities are horrible. I have yet once to slice somthing for more than the basic slices as i can't get stock of the components, and neither can the customers. All my crates turn into components for myself, except those darn simple toolkits, got a whole house full of those.....
However the armour upgrade kits seem to convert more often to better bits of the smuggler kits and i did about 5 crates of these and got around 20 shock absorbent paddings as well as a few of the other bits. Wether i was just lucky or i'm missing something here i don't know.
As for the costs in slicing then generally i'll charge 50k to an imp to slice up his weapon in whatever method he wants or i advise. I'll double the cost for rebels to compensate for the fact that one day i might meet them on the battleground and they'll be using that weapon against me. I've not done any armour slicing beyond the 1st stages to use any of the more expensive components to work out any kind of pricing structure as yet.
No point in charging the earth for slicing, i think, for a couple of reasons. People will remember your name and throw repeat business your way. Also you make a friend by not ripping them off and you never know when they might have something you want or need their help. Finally it makes no sense to be greedy. Most weapon slices only use bog standard components that i'm looting loads of from BH npc marks anyway.

Slicing is a bit screwed at the moment. I reactivated a second account and made him my smuggler instead so i could have a decent template on my BH toon to take down npc's specifically for collecting smuggler loot kits easily. What i did notice if you still have any crates of the old upgrade kits is its worth going through and converting them all now. Admittedly 90% of the time you will get a simple toolkit but its no great hassle as these stack in very high numbers anyway. I believe i have 229 simple toolkits taking up 1 inventory space.

thanks, best post yet
I charge 150K for a full slice in either damage, speed, crtitical and 50K after that to either a max of 80 percent or 100 percent. If they supply their own parts I will drop the price some.
Armor is a little diffrrent. I charge 150K for armor break slice basic and 75K for each slice after that.
I do some repeat business because I explain the slices to the customer and for that added RP experience I have them meet me in odd out of the way places.
Sorry, I was in smarta$$ mode last night. My actual prices are as follows for level three/four
dmg- 500k
spd- 300k
c.h.- 200k
all armor slices are 500k for highest levels due to component rarity. (this is what i've charged so far, though i probably wouldn't charge that anymore) But for me, it depends on how many of the components i have at the time. Armor slices from me right now would be cheaper, b/c I had/have crates of AUKs and probably enough padding pieces to slice three full sets of armor.
BTW, I don't actually slice. that's illegal. I enhance and modify. The rest of you are all filthy criminals and I hope the authorities come and find you.![]()

If we could only get that lucky
