Ok I got to say this in a very backwards fashion. So as not to get in trouble, or gasp banned for bringing this up. Anyway I have been sliceing for a while, and recently I have found a pattern in the slices. Not a perfect pattern mind you but enough to develope a general idea of what my next slice will be. Now I have made it a point not to exploit any of this forknowledge, but have any of you guys found this pattern in your sliceing aswell, and actually used this for ill gotten gain. In other words sliceing twelve cdef pistols to get to a spot in the progression that will give you a thirty plus speed slice?
One part of it is a famous numerical progression. Which I find hard that nobody else has slipped upon untill now. Plus its logical seeing as this number progression is used in alot of programs to simulate randomness. I am just curious is this one of the well kept secrets of smuggling. That there are smugglers out there knowing what their slice is going to be.

We've heard this very so-called 'pattern' before...at LEAST once.
Pseudo-random number generators require a 'seed'.
There MIGHT be a pattern based on a pseudo-random generator IF the seed for the next number was based on the result YOU got from the previous slice. Somehow I rather doubt that is the case.
As an enginner (have been one, hardware and software, for 3 decades now) I would use something like the milli-second CPU clock counter as a seed and there is no way you'd get a pattern out of a generator with that as the seed. You can not only not access that counter on their server but you are SO far removed from that counter that you could in NO way accurately predict the next seed when you asked for the random number.
Sorry, I don't believe anyone can predict the next slice in ANY statistically significant way.

NO there is not pattern, no numerical progression nothing.

Well I am not screwing with you guys. There is a mathmatical progression in there. I dont want to say what the progression is though, because whenever I have pointed out finding it in other game mechanics it gets ripped off the page faster then you can say hello.
My question is are there less savory smugglers out there who have noticed this progression and actually use it. I just noticed it when I started finding duplicate slices every so often while sliceing weapons in bulk. Saying that is already a bit much.

What we need here... is a clicky!
Gee willickers, it seems there's already a 13 page discussion on this!

It is random, if youget a series of good slices it is luck. If you think you're luck will continue then slice your uber whatever, but that slice will still be random. Goodluck.

Okay I take it that you guys are going to force me on this so here it goes and if anyone gets me banned over this shame on you.
11235811 its the fibinachi sequence. If you start sliceing weapons in rapid succession you can follow a general pattern in your slices. I have tried it out and usually end up within 1 or 2 points of what I would predict. I cannot imagine that being the case unless this progression is the first part of the system.

I used to do a ton of slicing in sequence. Beyond just grinding it, I used to get swarmed by guildies when I logged on, because my policy was that I'd always slice for friends for free.
I never noticed a sequence beyond the fact that I would very rarely get slices under 25% or so.

Please no keal hauling not untill I unravel what the rest of the equation is. Seriously guys check this out for yourselves in the game. After a bit you can see how you are able to generally guestimate a slice. Not that I repeat I do not use this. I am just wondering if this is like the t21 bug. Where I know for a fact that a number of weaponsmiths use it to bork the experimentation and make better guns then they should.
Please I am just a poor contraband smuggler. I cant afford to get tossed in the clink.

We were overdue for this discussion again, so we're making up for lost time now.

OMG dude your talking to people who have been over and over this for over a freakin year. Come on your just pushing an issue that people "in the know" have answered and answered like 9 months ago. You sound like everyother person who swore there was a patteren.Really it is random....really. Now can we move on.....
