The answer is yes. There are people who think they have figured out some pattern and use that knowledge, they think they have, to attempt to get better slices.

No.
Continue with your little experiment. Just beaware that there is no pattern. You may just be very lucky to get a good slice when you need/want it, but that is just luck.

I anticipated such a problem, and as such am attached to a drip feed with a big red button infront of me. I press it to make all the troubles slide away....

mm duno about that but ive noticed most times when you slice something with a certain color first it turns out to be 1 kind of slice while if you slice with the other color first you get the other kind of slice. This is not true for all cases but for most of them.

the only thing that effects slices is wearing hawt pants in real life.
