Thread: Wes!
A.) Don't even plan on introducing PC to PC smuggling.
B.) Are going to remove our ability to craft spice without giving us a new set of skills to fill that place? From what I understand, their current plan is to make the current Spices tree the future "Spice Smuggling" tree. I know that a lot of us feel that the Smuggling should fall under the existing Underworld tree. This change to remove the crafting of spice has brought about the opportunity to finally give us a Melee tree.
I know you're not responsible for their decisions, but I think they need to know that some of us are now looking at this with about as much enthusiasm as we have for our ability to sell junk to Jawas.

A mystery tree with no descriptions whatsoever?

Isn't 'no plans at this time' Devspeak for 'no plans ever'?

Yup. Devs always speak in code. ![]()
"We plan to do this soon!" Translation: "We're never going to do this."
"This is a known bug." Translation: "We know about the bug, but we're not going to fix it. Stop whinning."
"We're focusing on creating new and fun content." Translation: "We're going to make the life of Jedi even easier. Expect to see the Jedi population grownig by atleast 40%."
"We're doing our best to make everyone happy." Translation: "We really have no f*cking clue what we're doing."
"We'll fix this ASAP!" Translation: "Lets go get some donuts, we're hungery."
"How do you like the new additions? What needs to be changed?" Translation: "We really don't care what you have to say. We like it, so it's staying this way."
"We have some ideas for *insert profession here* that we'll be showing you sometime next week." Translation: "We haven't even thought of anything for *insert profession here*. They're not Jedi, so they really don't matter to us. We're not going to have any ideas we're showing you next week, so don't ask."
"We have no plans at this this time to impliment *insert something fun here*." Translation: "We're never going to do this. Your idea sucks!"
"We're going to make SWG the best MMORPG ever." Translation: "...Ohhh, look at the pretty butterfly!" *Chasses the butterfly*
"We're going to add in some fun content soon." Translation: "We're throwing in a few more Super Battle Droids, but that's about it. We really don't have any ideas for anything truely fun."
"We needed to ballance out this profession." Translation: "We have just nerfed every last skill of the Smuggler, Creature Handler, Squad Leader, Commando and Bounty Hunter professions. Now they can only stand there and be killed by kreetles."
"We're busy making this game the best it can be!" Translation: "I'm hungery. When's lunch?"
There you have it. Dev speak. ![]()

The "no plans at this time" could be the "not talking about anything that is not worked on now or right after" policy in action.
Is that only me or the HoC chats create uproar every time lately? lol
As for interpreting The spice stuff is being effected primarily by the combat upgrade. There might not be a bunch of more skill boxes in their place, but we'll probably see additional content for the existing boxes, and lots of work being done on the content for the overall system. as meaning "no skills at all the whole tree will be completly empty" I am not quite making that leap yet.

Oh, I'm sure the tree won't be empty. I just think it's a waste to use the space which our spices tree currently occupies for anything having to do with the new smuggling mission system as they've suggested. The best thing to do would be to use Underworld for that and turn it into our equivalent of BH Investigation tree. The reason I say that it makes the most sense is because A.) GM said in the past that a new smuggling system would provide the advancement for Underworld instead of Pistol XP and we all loved it. B.) It just makes the most sense
