Thread: Slicing is just terrible....
My 2% damage and 2% speed slice on my weapons gave them each about 30 mod dps. I'm happy with that. The other 6% damage will do wonders.
The loot thing is just not right...
Why do we have to loot pieces to slice?
DO we even using Upgrades kits?

We do not have to loot pieces to slice. We have to have loot to have higher end slices. It makes slicing more rare which has been needed.
And what the hell is "do we even using upgrade kits?"
I think it makes sense, you no longer just alter a piece of armor or a gun, you rebuild the thing, swap out parts and such. That should require specialized stuff... i just think that the slicing loot should have stats of its own which would affect slice numbers.... uber slice components + uber gear= godly gear.
Needs to be rare yellow drops though....
We are the ONLY profession that cannot do their job w/o having high-end loot.
Slicing is broken. Plain and simple. We haven't had a single response from a dev on this since it was forced onto test center and the focus thread was put up.
And yeah. I'm highly pissed.

Slicing is working fine. I've managed to get components to slice my guns fine...
What is broken? And if you're really upset about this then go cool off... seriously no need to continue to be upset after this long.
IMO Slicing isn't for everyone and I'm extremely happy with this new system. I hated it at first...
I agree I dont like this slicing, rare or not we use to be able to supply ourselves this is just plain stupid.

That is not proper english and the structure of the sentence leaves the reading completely in the dark to what the meaning behind the question is.

Ok, so the sentence is not structured right, but in his defense, not everyone who plays this speaks english as a first language, so mabe we should back off of ppl for bad grammar.....Its the message is more important that how it is typed....(unless of course it is complete gibberish, but I understood what was being asked)
We should not _REQUIRE_ high-end loot to do Master-Level slices. Period. While I'm dissappointed in most of the new slicing "system" (No UI, etc) - This is the one thing that seriously upsets me.
I liked slicing, as flawed as it was. It was my primary source of income.
They need to make it so we can craft these parts and if loot's completely necessary for them, make the loot enhancers like krayt tissue is for WS's. If they don't want us to craft anything, make it so AS's and WS's craft the bits necessary. Even better yet, let Smugglers use plain-old repair kits to tweak the slice. Whatever.
No profession should require loot to do their job.
As for cooling off, I'm giving it a few weeks for it to change or for the devs to speak on the subject (it's been dead silent since before they pushed this on us). And then I'll be cooled off leaving this game I otherwise love.
