Why would anyone pay a non-master 'slicer' 25k for a slice? LOL, those are some really dim customers IMO.

After reading a few posts about how slices are cheap I sat inthe Coronet Star Port last night for about 2 hours, had my slicer tag up for all to see.. I did 7 slices and made 175k. There were a few people that said no way .. but I still did a fair amount of business. I am not telling people to over charge here but when a doc beside me was shouting "50k gets you to the front of the line" I didn't feel too bad

If they paid you, great ... and please take this at face value and nothing negative. I think that is over-priced (at least for me). Historically, I have been the most expensive Smuggler on Intrepid for various services, and have tried to guage what my time is worth and to charge accordingly ... although I am able to make $300k+ per hour in solo-groups, that price seems a bit high (especially from a slicer) ... my prices hover around $15k per slice and I can't justify it to myself to charge $25k per slice when I am sitting in Coronet. I have made much more when people have come out to me while I am running in a solo-group, because they are infringing on my money-making.
Wow ... never thought I would say that I thought a slice was too much...

Yeah i was there, I saw that guy spamming, I charged 100c per %, and I guess I got the other 100 slices you didn't, plus a lot of people said they would be coming back to me from now on. I seriously went through all of my AUKs and some WUKs last night. I still made over 200k because of people tipping more than I asked, It is all on how you do business, not how you charge
I mean, it also depends on how you make your money. I guess if Slicing is your only source of income, you can HELP to justify that price, other than that it is expensive. But I get enough creds from grinding exp and resource hunting.

Nice! I asked 100k/slice recently, and got it easily. It may not be conducive to long-term employment (not that I care, as I'm mainly retired), but it's a little frightening that our numbers have dropped enough to allow this to happen.
