Smuggler Archive

I keep trying to bring myself to level up (1 1 1 1 Smuggler) but it is SO boring and takes way too much time. But if ROTW has taught us anything is that when (if) the smuggler revamp hits flying is going to be important.

Thoughts?

Piloting is one of the few joys left in the game for me. RotW quests entertained me for about a week (yay loot!), then it was back to Deep Space. Something about starship twitch combat is more fun for me, even though the content is pretty dry after you have 25 million prestige points and hit Deep Space to down a half dozen vettes once in awhile when you're bored.

Pilot skills are definitely a part of many new quests. When I am blasting through some of the new space quests, I have to remind myself that countless waves of Tier 4 ships used to cause a lot of white knuckle flying and cursing.

Now, for fun, I will buzz vettes to see how many Tier 5's I can get on my tail and work through the swarm with a grin. I highly recommend it as a pasttime!

Managed to get myself up to 3232 on the Imperial Inquistor side in short order - definately trying to master it before the revamp because I figure it will become important.


Finding it's getting tougher to do solo, so if there are any other pilots around the same level as me on Naritus who need a wingman - give me a shout

*raises a hand* Yo. Currently 3333 Rebel pilot, creeping up on 4333 so I can fly the ARC I have sitting in my bank. I'm ridiculously tempted to drop Rebel pilot after I master it and go freelance, though, but all that grinding.. argh!

DidI mention I hate A-Wings?

Just finally started pilot this last weekend. What can I say, I never played flight sims so JTL had no draw for me. But since I got RotW and JTL in one price I decided I should at least try flying. It is actually fun, though my new ship sucks..I am only 1100 Smuggler Alliance. But I am sure I will get the hang of it eventually. And yes I partly decided to do it so I could do the new quests with RotW and hopefully the smuggling missions in space if/when we get them added in.

3332 right now... having a hell of a time with the last jabba mission. seems that jabbas thugs aren't helping me out. just sitting there in a giant clusternerf, while i get my tail shot off by rancors..... sheesh....

ripped through SA pilot way back when. I find the modular nature of ships to be quite the conundrum. been like, well I mastered close to launch, and since then I haven't found quite the right components.

And I've abandoned my Krayt because I could never hit anything with it. Went back to the Rix, so my mass is even more limited

I'm thinking my performance in space could be enhanced by a joystick, seems the better pilots use em...

I am a SA Ace as well. I particlarly enjoyed getting the tier 4 xp during Bloodfins 4x experience week. I was able to get nearly 2 mil xp in an hour and a half. My guildies helped me with the vette, and now I enjoy the rewards of being able to fly my Firespray (The Bothaan Snout) around destroying little "gnats" of fighters.

I did my entire profession with my Dunelizard as soon as I got the cert for it.

Oh, and I have no YT!
