Hown can anyone steal and get away with it? Wouldn't someone report you on the spot? That's why I don't get how there can be dishonest smugglers.

They could report you but the CSR won't do anything about it. They have an "all trades are final" policy. Therefore if you freely trade something to someone, ie a smuggler, and he doesn't trade it back it's not considered against the TOS. HOWEVER, it is very bad, very mean, and a very very bad idea

Not to mention the distrust it causes to the rest of the smugglers. We're the most trusted profession in the game. Ironic huh?

The only time I would consider it appropriate to withold a sliced item from a customer is if they refuse to pay the previously-agreed-on-price. In that case, you're holding collateral, you're not stealing.

If they're really obnoxious, I put a sign over the items that says: "Reposessed for Late Child-Support Payments."

At that point, I just suck up the 4k "loss" and stick the item on the nearest bazaar for 6k. One way or the other I'll get SOME kind of payment for it.

That can be a lot of fun when you tell the "customer" you're doing that, but then don't tell him when or where.

ummm...huh?

Well if you mean as a slicer and you just jack their gear and run...that is bad. That's bad for all smugglers, and those who do so should be smacked by carp.

If you mean as a mechanic...that's bad. Players don't like it, and we're not pickpockets. We're smugglers. Gimme smuggling first.
