Thread: when i was a noob...
Needless to say, 2 days later I wandered into Mos Eisley again and surrendered my artisan skills, walked into the Cantina and sat down at the bar. I thought to myself: "Anthony, you need to re think your life..." and that is when I noticed it. A master smuggler was chanting on and on about his amazing weapon slice... and I knew what I was destined to be. A Smuggler.
So the next day I wandered out of Mos Eisley (I didn't know what I was doing) and wandered into the mountains and found myself sitting along the bluffs. I began to craft again and started building fishing poles. That is when my Best friend in Real Life sent me a tell and we met up in Mos Eisley again. He directed me on the path to being a smuggler and I never turned back.
Along the way I have done the Following:
1. Built CDEF Weapons for other noobies
2. Hunted with Skilled rangers for hides and bones
3. Was a Stand up Commedian in the Lucky Despot
4. Joined the Rebel Alliance
5. Became a member of Sentinal Plains
and finally became a smuggler.
That was about a year ago. I loved being a noob, everything was soo rich and diverse and everything was expansive... the game world was amazing. My best friend, the one I told about earlier actually told me about the time when he started, he walked around the border of all tatooine. It took him over a week to do it, and in his first week he saw krayt dragon fights, was nearly killed by tuskans, and without regard to leveling up, saw more in 1 week then most noobs see in a month.
He convinced me to buy the game.
Glad to get that off my chest.

I wouldn't want to embarrass him.

I was going around getting Points of Interest badges one day, found a big mouth in the Tatooinian sand, went up for a closer look... DISEASE!! EEK!! I ran away and sat down for awhile waiting to see if I was going to get sick, I never even coughed... Eventually I shruged it off as mild queezyness and left to go the Jabba Themepark, 4 missions later I got my 50 lost health points back.
Gah...
Heh, that sarlacc used to be pretty viscious. When I first went to that poi (before there were poi's), it was by accident and boy did that disease kick my ass. Made half my ham black. I still avoid the sarlacc even though it's a pansy now.
Ohhhh! The Sarlac, how I was disapointed with it. I go upto it and think "Shouldn't it be 4 times bigger than that?" So I get closer as i wanna see if I can get eaten by it.... Diseased... Get as close as possible..... nothing? I have fallen into a pit where I should not be able to get out and even if I could climb out the tenticles should grab me but nope nothing
So I just walk away with some anoying disease which takes about 2 hours before it stops.
The other day I went upto the Dathomir Sarlac... Disease! Wait... The Disease is not even hurting me any more! This is pathetic! Hay it is raining really heavy.... Shouldn't this Sarlac be drowning? /examine sarlac Description: Some ranting about a Sarlac living in the desert.... WOW! Dathomir is a funny looking desert!
Both Sarlac's should have funny instant death animations if you get to close but with no penatly, and you just spawn again at a cloning center. It would enable cool player events and such.
Noob things I did? I decided mines were inefficient and that it was better to manually mine with your character! With no Swoop bike to travel! Heck it meant you didn't have to pay lots of credits to run a power collector and a harvestor and I had no money... So it made sence right? lol Kept getting killed by the same damn Wamp Rate for 3 days trying to level up in Artisan. Followed by me running some NPC mission which meant I walked from one side of Tatooine to the other and runing away from Sand People XD
It would be like a mob dumping ground! Bounty Hunter's flying around the galaxy picking up their jedi marks, wrapping them up in a carpet, and dumping them into the sarlac's mouth.
That would easily deal with their over population I think.
I swear, I wanted one of them things installed in the med center for all the exp it bagged me. (mastered medic twice without ever using a tumbler /flex)
Remember tumblers?
also someone mentioned hiding in the bushes. i did that too, until i learned that it did nothing to hide you, and neither did line of sight... thank goodness they finally put line of sight into the game. the first time i got shot through a sand dune on Tatooine, i was very dissappointed.
