Thats what I thought about doing, but it still seemed like to much hard work, so I tell everyone who wants a slice now to read my bio, which states that at the moment due to SOE I am not slicing anymore.

Yeah, my rates are getting raised until this is fixed. It will really have to be worth my time, inventory space, and effort for me to slice now.

Yes it went live.

Someone offered me $50k to slice a suit (normally I charge a lot at 100-130k) ... so I replied no thanks, but I would for 200k if he really needed it.

(And yes I did explain it to him why)

This morning I dropped my slicing tree entirely. It feels so liberating!! Now I can pester *other* smugglers about all those speed slices they're sticking me with. They're doing it on purpose, Ijust know it!!

No this blows entirely... I tried to slice a pistol for myself today and I got really mad... this is retarded. They have to un-do this there will be so many complaints about our rising rates... I mean come on this sucks. =)

Maybe the complaints will cause other people to complain to the Devs.

I will gladly lower my rates to pre-Pub 10 when they fix it & fix the armor coloring screen popping up.

That's what I mean, complaints to the Devs... too bad they choose not to hear the complaints anyway... But let's keep giving the Wookies more armor.

Why is it that they choose to keep beating back one of the most prolific occupations in this galaxy and boost up the absolute LEAST prolific? ARG it's too frustrating!! The logic absolutely baffles me. I feel like we are Frank Grimes andthe Jediare Homer Simpson; we just can notget a break here.

Geevo, I'd like to know how you explained to the customer the reason for slicing at 22k credits per item?

Here is how I envision my explanation:

Customer: Hey, are you slicing?

Me: I'm always slicing. The cost is 22,000 cr per item.

Customer: WHAT?!? You're crazy, I'm going to another smuggler that only charges 2000 cr.

Me: Well, in the last publish, they made it so I can't auto-pull Weapon Upgrade Kits, Clamps, or Armor Upgrade Kits from crates.

Customer: Huh?

Me: I carry all my slicing components around in crates, and now I have to manually take them out of the crate before I can use them.

Customer: So?

Me: Well, it take me extra time to do this now.

Customer: So?

Me: So every smuggler is going to take extra time to do slicing now.

Customer: I don't care. I just got my item sliced by another smuggler for 2000 credits. I'm putting you on ignore and telling everyone you're ripping them off.

So how did you explain it to a customer who isn't a smuggler and make them care enough about the issue to pay you 22k creds per item?

Evarn Terallis - Master Smuggler on Kettemoor

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

Easy- I'm charging 20K a slice, and if they don't like it they can go to someone else. I can make better money hunting than I can slicing. I've not been slicing publicly for months now anyway.

Customer: Will you slice my armor for me?

Me: No thanks, I don't feel like dealing with the new crate issue & slicing.

Customer: I will pay you 50k to slice my armor.

Me: No thanks, but I will for 200k.

Customer: Done, meet me at the Mining Outpost.

heh, this crate issue is really making me reevaluate my slicing price. I currently charge 3k per slice. But since its now a pain in the royal a$$ i'm contemplating of charging more. And i've been a big believer of charging less for a slice. But now? Got me thinking a little. Besides the screw up they've done to us SOE started another JEDI grind. Only this time its not with professions its with Badges.

COME ON JTL! Up there being jedi won't save your a$$es from me. And if jedi does have an effect up there, well. I dont see me playing this game much after that. Move on to SW battlefront.
