You would be surprised what some customers are willing to pay for slices. Its the same thing as some willing to pay 50k for a doc buff as long as they skip the line. The same way, a customer could either decline our high price and spend their time looking for someone with a cheaper rate OR they could just get it sliced now at a higher price. It's that simple really.
I've been charging 10k per slice for a month now and 100k for a full suit of armour. I finally feel like im getting my times worth

Well, I have always (April) charged 10k a weapon and 8k per armor component to the community because I can't be bothered with 50 cent weapons/Armor.
This new issue will raise that price alot for me. How much more will depend on the customer now and howI feel at the time to be honest.

No problems not slicing here. My Master tag is always up, but I'm never searchable, so if someone wants slicing, they have to find me (no looking up criminals in the phone book).
However, I'm currently playing hermit in the wilds of Corellia, waiting for some old guy to come around and tell my currently Force-glowing self that he can now go experience the new content in the game.
Therefore, noone will find me for slicing until who knows when.

I'm with you on a price increase. The time and number of clicks more than doubled. I've been charging 5k per slice, time to go to 10k.

I haven't been approached yet since the change, I've been spending minimal time in populated areas with my tag on. But I'm just going to tell them:
"Since Publish 10 screwed up slicing, its no longer worth my time at normal rates. I'll do it for 10k per slice."
And they can take it or leave it.

There's nothing wrong with passing the cost on to the customer for the bit of extra time it takes, but that's really the only part of this issue that is worthy of comment.

Can't say I won't be raising my prices either, but I quit slicing for the public a long time ago. So don't think this will affect me too much.

I was wondering what the rest of the community was going to do.
I normally charge 5k per slice (or 35k for a full suit of armour) But after slicing 4 suits of armour which took me well over 15 mins of playing time, Im thinking of upping the price to 10k.
How many others will be doing so aswell?

Usually I play in the 5-8k range, but now I'll try and swing 10-15k. Not that it matters since I haven't been getting regular slicing business.

well.. i just charged 15k a slice. so i made 135k on a suit of armor. while its nice to make that much the guy wasn't too pleased. but i even told him upfront 15k and told him why. oh well.

Hey, as soon as that Jedi with another combat class complains(Fencer, TK, whatever) about the raise in price for slicingyou know they'll change things!
