Thread: I had to qoute this guy...CU
People posting about cancelling their accounts without testing the product are not being logical. One person said they cancelled after being capped by a Nuna. Well I am sorry to say, they never really tested the CU, cause obviously he was just a novice. Furthermore, if that person had played, like myself, WHEN THE GAME LAUNCHED, you would know that many then were capped by Nuna's. I dieda few times attacking Mynock!! I thought it was fun... but wait... I forgot everyone wants things easy. Forgive Sony for putting a challenge back in the game. Also, give the CU a chance. Don't log in as a novice and decide you are done. The higher level you go, the better it is. For those of you who are high levels, and it isn't the game for you, so be it. That is fine, Sony can't win everyone over. But for those not giving it a chance, logging in as a novice an calling it done... we don't need you to play this game. You probably bought your character and credits on ebay anyway.

Wow, Yim. You really got something bad about this "stop crying", "stop whining" thing today, don't ya?

First of all its just a game. Its not like your going to die in real life if you cant solo a Krayt Dragon anymore. The CU is killing some of the origionality the game had yes. But that's only looking at the negative if you look at the good things it brings its much better. Instead of only having 3 templates that work well in the game all templates will be pretty balanced. Buffing one of the games most annoying timesinks was just replaced with Grouping. An much more healthy mechanic for a MULTIPLAYER game. I mean c'mon when you used to play Double Dragon in the Arcade you knew better than to try to go Solo cause it would eat 10 dollars worth of your Quarters. So join a Guild, Make a friend or two, an go kill powerful stuff. Or just quit but dont keep whining about it endlessly. Besides good luck finding another MMORPG that lets you Solo everything anyway.
Why is killing originality not a bad thing? This was called the Combat UPGRADE. When we lose something that made the game unique and different (and personally, fun from my perspective) this is not an upgrade. Its damage.
I read posts day after day about how people don't like what is being done, how the game is going to be awful and you will be forced to group in larger numbers, etc.
For the last 2 years I have played this game with a very close friend of mine, and we're both fearing that the days of the 2 of us being effective are drawing to a close, and the sole reason for us to play this game will be gone (that reason is having fun, BTW) I don't want to solo Krayts. I don't want to be the 733T baddest dude on the server. I just want to be able to go out with my friend and enjoy my evening without needing 6 other people along to survive. It seems that from what I have been reading, groups of 2 and even 3 are going to be largely inconsequential.
I haven't threatened to quit; I am trying to keep an open mind and will see how things play on in live. I don't have the time to test it on Test Center like some people, as I have a job and family obligations, and that when I DO get to play, I want to PLAY.
When the CU hits live I'll decide then what direction to go. But if the things I like to do are no longer possible in this game, then I will either adapt or move on. That isn't a rant or a threat, its simply a truth. And I have this sneaky suspicion that my friend will agree with this and move along with me.
The thing that was beautiful was that this game could cater to a lot of play styles. I'm not arguing that things weren't broken; but- to take from a commercial playing recently - when the sink is clogged, you don't tear down the whole house. And sadly, that is exactly what it feels like SOE is doing as I read post after post of people becoming concerned about how things are starting to look.
Time will tell, I guess.

Im testing I like ti all to be honest, and if whines and nay sayers, leave, well good riddance. too many wankers in game anyway
/rolleyes
I dont agree or disagree but comments like this dont really help anything....
For example the removing of certs and going with pure CL to use a weapon. WS have trouble selling low end weapons as it is in Live, with that one move all that someone needs to do is Master 1 class and they will NEVER need a newb weapon again.
