The AS Coro got Fired for standing up for his fellow armorers. If this dosn't just make you sick to your stomach.
So Wes, Does this mean that until the CU has gone live, or whatever happens, you are forced into being a cheerleader for SOE? No more decenting opinions apparently.. very sad.. Big Brother has us

Reading Tiggs post and the former AS cor.'s post he misunderstood what it meant to be a correspondent.
It appears he told the community to take the issues straight to the Dev's instead of gathering all information, weeding out the noise, and presenting the issues in summary.

I believe (tho I'm waiting to see what Wes says, IF he's aloud to say anything at all) that he really tried to get the devs to listen to everything all the AS were saying, but everything he said fell upon deaf ears. This was a last resort attempt by him to make the devs listen. He knew he was gonna get in trouble for it, hell, he's lucky he didn't get banned.
Cheers Okram for doing whatever youcould for your prof.

The Devs handled it wrong. If they felt he did something he shouldn't have, they needed to PM him and say "hey, don't do ____, it's not called for", and give him a warning about it. But kicking him out just caused a fuss, and they should've known that would happen.

Here's the lowdown... I've been following the AS stuff for the CU for a friend who's wife is expecting so he can't spend as much time on the computer.
First of all the thread has been deleted. They've deleted a lot more along with it, but the flood gates have opened. I don't think they'll be able to keep up with the thread deletions.
As for the Corr, and what happened. There's very few AS's that are even content with the changes in the CU. Many, if not most are saying they're going to quit AS or the game entirely. The corr was trying to get info on what was going on, what they could get changed, and most importantly to them i'm sure, were they being heard.
After no feedback and the fact that the CU is on a short fuse (comes out in less than a month regardless of bugs/problems), he did an end around and started contacting the devs directly. He also encouraged players to do whatever they needed to do to get their voices heard, including contacting devs directly.
That guy has been their corr for over 7 months. In the end he did what he felt needed to be done, and I for one completely agree with him.

Yep that is exactly what happened. I remember reading his thread and saying to myself "man he is going to get all kinds of hell from the dev's for this". Not suprised they fired him, shame cause he really was fighting for his peep's.

Fired would imply they paid the guy something, like a real job, no?

Well I got hit by the 24 hour ban bat for "trolling". Somehow I think they need to examine the definition of trolling.
So Dewcatti is SmugglinZane for the next 24 hours.

Just 1... Funny thing is the post that was made only said something along the lines of if they keep deleting and locking threads, they're just stoking the fire. I also posted my support of the AS Corr. It was a little more inflamatory, but I won't get into the exact words since it will probably get me another ban... not that it wouldn't be fun to be double banned lol.
