Just a dirty little thought, but everyone who relies partly or solely on slicing as an credit income realizes that once JTL is released more people won't be using the ground war for quite some time while they level their pilot skills?
Its sorta like the last recluse of the smuggler finally fading away.

Moreover if i'm not wrong the faction ships won't need any faction points, so selling FP is gonna die too.

FP selling is dead when FD gets nerfed. It takes too long to transfer meaningful amounts of FP, and all the while being Overt and unable to use FD as a defense.

I dont think JTL is going to hurt the ground game (and thus players need/want for slices) that much.
Yes immediately following launch of JTL everyone will be in space and not on the ground ... but that will only last a very short period of time before people start to balance their ground vs. space time, I think.

Maybe post-Combat Rebalance, but my outlook is bleaker until then.

I think both maybe partially true for the immediate future, but not to the degree you think (because old habits die hard, not everyone will have it, etc. etc.) and not for very long. People won't live in JtL for more than a few months, and yes, add in Combat Revamp, plus any GCW changes that arise between now and then and it's a whole new ballgame.

Yes, they might die off for a little bit while everyone is busy leveling/exploring, but we'll be doin that, too. Eventually, things will come in a full circle.

Excellent!! So maybe then I can wear one of my smuggler tags without being accosted by Bobo-the-Idiot-Circus-Boy and his pack of cdef-carrying-miscreants for a "30%+ dam slice plzkthx." ![]()
To those of you outside the smuggler profession, yes. This *is* what your local smuggler thinks of you. ![]()

It might drop for a bit, but thanks to FS grinding i'm making almost as much selling slicing tools as i do for slicing.

I sorta brought the issue up because (1) smugglers really don't have much money making ability outside of slicing hundreds of items (
) but, more importantly (2) any self-respecting smuggler will probably drop millions+ because we need to have the best ships in the galaxy.. Its an ego thing.
