Thread: Last Ditch stories
Today a friend of mine in-game posted about using last ditch on a notorious rebel Jedi on our server. Hit the guy for 4.7K dmg AFTER armour had been taken into account.
Later on I found him in Theed and he challenged me to a duel. My current build is Master Smuggler, Master Pistols and Merchant 0004 rofl. His template is similar with 4000 CM in place of my Merchant (which is what I'll switch to once one of my alts gets grinded to 0040 artisan).
I accept his duel and he knocks me down. I use body shot a couple times while he gets me very low on health. Last Ditch hit, and there he was corpsed. Apparently it was his third incap.
Upon coming out of the cloner he sends me a /tell : "that was classic!" We both loved it, pefect timing of last ditch.

I've gone into a duel knowing that I was going to use last ditch. I hit for over 3000 points of damage.
Worst use of last ditch: I was fighting a boss bounty mark and was down to about half health and was going to use a stimpack, but I hit the wrong button.
There is a reason why i have LD on F12 surounded by specials I dont use that often
Had my first use with last ditch last night. I got a friend that is a big pvp. I never do it my self so I figured I would get schooled, but it might be fun. His pistol is hitting for around 560 per shot at the low end and eating me alive. We go through the running around mess and I have to admit I was not lasting long. He got in a knock down right as I hit last ditch and basically saved himself with the "you can not last ditch when knocked down" message displaying on my screen. We finish and go on like normal, and he boast about how he does a lot of PVP and knows when to time everything. He is just that good.
So I wait and watch as all his buffs start to disappear. Once we are down to only the basic buffs, I challenge him to a rematch and declare lets do it without buff this time. Of course he accepts becuase again he is that good. Back to the running around shooting at each other again (this time I last a little longer). I just eat as him with the ranged shots I can get in and try to stay alive long enough to get his health down some before I hit him with the big shot. About 100 or less health left and last ditch. Incapped him.
"What happened, I went from full health to nothing?" is thenext thing I hear. Of course I got the excuss, "I was lagging."
It was good fun and he instantly challenged me to a rematch. I declined, figured I would stop on a high note and just catch him again on another day.
Quick question for you all:
After you use LD, do you have enough atcion to actually DB someone? The description says it uses all your action. Thanks!
never tried it, but I plan to have mando wine and won-won ready to eat for a quick boost in action, mind, and health to help combat the effects of LD
Dont know if that would work, but just a thought.

If you've already got some buffs like booster blue, spiced tea and others in you then you can heal or DB very quickly after an LD shot.
Well, at one time, I dabbled in BH (4000) purely for the hunting and annihilation of jedi. Don't get me wrong, I lost a-LOT-... But on one magical day, my luck changed. I had hunted my mark halfway across Endor, finaly, meeting up at the smugglers' outpost (where else?)... As soon as I saw her, I jumped off my speeder and fired, forgeting to store my speeder bike. A battle ensued for a while, mostly her gloating about her macros, and how I could never kill her... I waited... She kept saying "You can't kill me! I'm too powerful!" But my damage wasn't doing enough. Then, just to piss me off, she went over to my speeder and destroyed in right in front of me, then striking me a crippling blow. That was the last of it. I Last Ditch'ed her @ss and sent her on her back. Three seconds later she was dead. I got a frantic tell later saying, "My macros must have stopped"... I merely replied, "No, the problem is, you messed with a smuggler this time"
