Thread: Slicing Krayt weapons

It seems that almost EVERY Krayt weapon a smuggler slices, it's 99% speed slice, any confirmiation on this if it is an intentional coding or bugged? I sliced 6 Krayt scatters last night and every single one of them were speed (between 1.1 speed to 1.4), it just blew me away and now I don't know what to do with these speed sliced scatters, and no idea of how well they'd sell even at 50K.

Actually I've had a 33% damage slice on a Krayt Weapon, but you're right... the perception is that you get more speed slices. I say perception because thats all it is... I imagine you don't notice the damage slices (good) near as much as you notice the speed slices (bad, usually).

No I've gotten some pretty damn good damage slices on krayt weapons.It seems to be about half and half ,just like everything else.

I just got a %35 damage slice on a custom made krayt scatter pistol! WAHOO! 2.0spd 155 to 238!

I've had the same experiences with a lot of "special" weapons recently.In fact I've noticed a disturbing trend appearing. Finally decided to start a legit business with a tent and vendors to sell sliced weapons. In the past 2 weeks I've bulked sliced 100's of different weapon types and the vast majority have been speed sliced (not measured but guestimate at +75% ish).

Dunno about your galaxy but I see more and more people with high priced Krayt/Enhanced weapons asking the smuggler for a guaranteed 30+% damage slice (which means they know about powerup slicing exploit) and if you refuse they walk away searching for a more willing smuggler with a more loose moral code.
Did I mention that I am getting more and more upset about that ?!

I Once had my In Game wife bring me a very nice Krayt T21 for slicing. I was terrified she used to beat me on a regular basis and threatened a major kicking if i messed up. To top that the majority of our respective guilds were stood around by me waiting to rip the *edit* out of me if i messed up. However smugglers luck saved the day with a 34% damage slice. Not so lucky with her Krayt DXR rifle,got speed on that. We're divorced now and i walk with a permanent limp...

I tend to get 3:1 speed to damage slices on my VK's, and they are just stock everyday VK's. I slice somebody else's weapons, and it goes reverse. When I wantencumb slices on my armor, I get effectiveness. When I slice somebody else's armor, it's reversed.
Damn the luck.

I slice hundreds if not thousands of weapons every week, ald quite alot of loot made, krayt/acklay/whatever, and this since january or so.
it is TOTALLY RANDOM, I happened to see all damage slices on 10+ loot made or ALL speed on 10+ regular junky weaps.
it's random, end of the line, you could not be lucky, but as a regular, professionnal sliced, I can say from my experience that it's 100% random.

How many posts have we all read know proposing theories that the slices are determined to an extent.
I like to think that there's a pattern but this post seems to me to indicate that ... it's completely random! Wow - what a conclusion

Finally after making 7 Krayt scatters and slicing the first 6 for speed slices (most of them base 1.4 to 1.8 speed depending on componments and getting down to 1.1 to 1.4 speed sliced) and then the next day made the last one and held my breath while pulling out the laser knife and behold I got a 31% damage slice! 1.4 118-183 to 1.4 153-240.
Today I got a TON of 15-18% dmg/speed slices and only one 30% damage slice, some days slicing is just plain annoying.
