Excuse my nubness, but what does this 15->1 really mean?
The devs made Test Center 2 available for testing some of the new Force Sensitive stuff recently. There is a new "Village" on Dathomir on TC2 where you can do several different Force Sensitive things (quests, etc.). In this village is an NPC that you can talk to who will let you convert your existing XP (combat xp, medical xp, etc.) over to Force Sensitive XP.
But you can NOT convert your existing xp to FS xp at a one-to-one ration. For example, as it is now, it takes you 15 points of slicing xp to get 1 point of FS xp. Different kinds of xp cost different rations. For example, I believe that Combat xp converts at a 3:1 ratio... 3 points of combat xp will get you 1 point of FS xp.

Wow they actually listened! Does anyone know which fs tree this is for? I couldn't find any info for it.

Yep, and unless they've changed it, at 15:1, you're looking at 76,500 weapon/armor slices at 250XP each to get just the Senses Novice box and one full line (Persuasion, for example). Enjoy.

You could not really grind out that much. It's more of a "nice to have" then anything else.

not to complain about them giving us something... but shouldn't it atleast be on par with medical xp ?
hmm or maybe not.. looks like they increased the requirements for everything.. oh well. whatever. I guess being able to get the first 2 boxes immediately just from slicing xp wouldn't be so bad.

I might actually slice a good bit if I turned my Master Smuggler tag back on.

perhaps if they removed the damn cap on slicing xp, it could be useful, since you tend to cap out fast

So what will a couple of blocks in the "senses" tree grant the average Master Smuggler in practical termsand make it worth the SP?

A poster below the message above said they thought they sliced this much! LOL. I've been a slicing Master Smuggler for seven (7) months now and I have recorded about 5,000 slices.

Lets see, assuming DRWolfe's math is right....
-lets say you play TEN hours a day doing nothing but slicing
- and lets say you slice an average of one item per minute.
- thats 600 items a day.
- That would take you 127 days, or approx 3 months... the 3 most boring months ever known in the history of mankind.
