to be perfectly honest I think it works better now than it did before
no seriously now the shot will actually work on ranged npcs you have to be careful but you can pretty much stop multiple npc attacks with concussion shot then pick them off one at a time. Making it a much more viable shot than before

Figured I'd try something different than the usual "Put that in your Pipe and Smoke it."
I guess it got the desired effect.
I would have to agree. At least I know for a fact that my coffee smells good now...

Big thumbs up for Concussion Shot last night. Escaped a pair of Jedi.
As I was going about my business selling some faction points in Theed, two red dots suddenly appear, and I'm hit with two saber throws almost immediately. A quick concussion shot and panic shot, heal, burst run, and jump on the shuttle, and I'm safely away and my customer meets me at a more secure location to finish the business deal.
If there were only one of them I might have even actually stayed and fought. ![]()
I walked into theed and there were 30+overt jedi, and while in the end I died, my acid gun and I killed great many of them.

ROFL.Seriously though, it took the groups I've been in a few days to learn to not attack something that just had +Rooted+ flash above its head. But now that they understand the power of being able to stop any baddie in their trancks and completely Daze them, I have people I was in groups with days ago sending me tells when I'm online asking me to join their group again. And I'm only CL 37.Put that in your pants and stroke it!
Except that n00b commandos are now my mortal enemy. I swear, when I tell them to face away from the lair, it's like I'm not speaking English.
Ahem.. well once again as a Master Commando (a new characterI made recently) and on behalf of the profession I apologize for the idiots. On several occasions I have actually kicked noob Commandos from my group for doing what you mentioned, after warning them several times of course.

I tend to agree with everyone here, the new effect is very advantageous in a group in either PVE or PVP. I can root while everyone focuses on one target. I can even help with that target while the roots are applied. It makes it difficult to solo anything but that is not so bad as I hate to solo hunt. Prior to Pub 19 I could easily solo GDKs now it is a bit more tricky to accomplish, but I can always root and escape which is real nice. I like to RP so the rooting and running in a infriendly town is a great idea. More in character than killing everyting in sight which is possible but ruins the immersion.
Give us a good KD and I will be a happy camper.
I have a habit of hitting the wrong travel button and heading into Coro or Theed SF. Three times now, the Jedi have load attacked me, and three times now I've (in true smuggler fashion) shot, ran and survived. One of the Jedi was actually sending me tells about how awesomely funny the scene looked with me escaping unscathed.
