I finished reading the whole thread... a couple of great posts from rangers later on... I feel a sudden kindred.

RANGER POST:

They just like to complain about other people doing better in combat than they are.

They point fingers at certain professions every time they do something better.

All but one of our traps is broken. Those abilities were handed to everyone in the forms of root/snare/mezz, and our traps only affected creatures, but our traps were broken with the CU and there has not even been a "known issue" statement about it. Yet, we still have that one trap which shall not be named, which is the only one that is working right now, and it will be a cold day in hell when you even think about attacking us in addition to the Chefs, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Riflemen, Pistoleers, and Combat Medics that you yourselves have cried nerf on since the game started.

So, why don't you find something better to complain about than a Ranger who has nothing but this to show for the 140 skill point investment / waste?

Please stop reposting stuff like this. It looks like the devs are starting to believe in bullcrap like this.

At Fan Fest, someone told a dev that PvP is just Jedi vs. Riflemen. The dev said, "Hmmmm, maybe we should slow down a rifleman's rate of fire to make the other ranged professions more attractive." WTH??????

Let me translate that for you:

Dude: Mr. Dev, PvP is just Jedi vs. Rifleman.

Dev : Ahhhh! Nerf Rifleman!!!

I SWEAR! These devs have their heads in their cornholes with all of the attention they give to Jedi, letting them run rampant over non-Jedi in huge numbers, and always giving priority fixes to the Jedi profession ALL OF THE TIME!!!!!!

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS, SOE!!!! THERE ARE OTHER PROFESSIONS OUT THERE!!!! THERE ARE OTHER PROFESSIONS WHO WANT TO HAVE FUN IN THE GCW!!!!!

The funny thing about that entire thread is they complain that a rifleman was using root and snares to avoid getting hurt....and that the rifleman was out damaging them (master defender tanks)

now I have a few silly questions for you.

• How many snares and roots do rifleman have?


• How effect is it/they?


• What is the role of a Nuker?


• What is the role of a Tank?


• and finally Who is cert'd to the best rifle weapons in the game?

Answers:

• 1


• least effective snare in game


• Massive damage output at cost of defensive power


• Reduction of damage at cost of offensive power


• The Advanced Sniper Rifle (has the same stats as the t-21) is CL54 cert'd and is available to all for usage

I saw the title and thought to myself "There is no way this is possible."

Then I read the Jedi's statement and was proven correct. Yep, leave it to the Jedi. A profession is broken but has ONE last viable use? "NERF THEM!!!! JEDI PWNZ0R!!!" A profession has been neglected for YEARS but now becomes viable in combat? "NERF THEM!!! ONLY JEDI SHOULD BE GOOD!!!!!" Let's not even talk about doctors and medics...the HEALING classes of the game. Nope..."ONLY JEDI SHOULD HEAL GOOD!!!!!"

No wonder the Emperor wanted them all dead, they were this whiny for a loooooooong time. Luke sure wasn't an improvement either.

It makes perfect sense. Jedi have a prophecy that one day someone will show up and make them uber. Jedi finds a kid who has potential, but is too old and cannot be safely trained. Jedi train him anyway because they only want to be uber. Jedi get what they want in a bad mamma-jamma Jedi. New Super-Jedi realizes he's uber...then to show how uber he is he "pwnz0rs" all the CL 1 Padawans. When a Jedi Master defeats Super-Jedi, BOTH of them whine!

Yep, our current crop of Jedi are just like the ones that were blasted away. If it's this or the Sith, maybe we should just choose the Sith. At least Vader only force choked the people who failed direct orders or straight out insulted him. Never heard of Vader flashing his lightsaber around everywhere going "DULE ME N00b!!!1!1!!!"

A galaxy devoid of the Jedi...how much worse could it possibly be than what we've got now?

I didn't think Jedi and intelligent could be said in the same sentance, can it? No.. I don't think so.
