You know, like JTL. So you had to Target to hit someone.
Is that completely out of the question?
Man! That would change EVERYTHING!!!
I don't know how you would be doing your specials and heals all at the same time but I guess it's plausible.
And what about switching weapons?
I think it would be kinda cool, actually...

MY first though was: "How do i use my mousewheel to cycle through the specials and weapons?"

With the ground based lag I don't think I'd ever hit anything again.

When they announced that snappy movement had to do with the CU, my first suspicion was real-teim action ala an FPS game.
I dunno tho, that seems like it would be awefully hard to do, but some coro's have said "You have know idea" in regards to the level of change that is coming. Itll be interesting to see what unfolds here in the next month or so

It will never happen. I run 2 accounts in windowed mode at times and can see the lag betwen the two. Running it like an FPS would never work.

Hmmmm...
That IS interesting.
On my old comp I completely STOPPED PvPin' in places like Coronet due to lag.
Now I can fly my speeder through the city without toooo much of a problem with my new comp.
And I've noticed some quicker reactions to things even after I put in the new machine but I don't know if it's cause of the screen changes or population drop.
Upon my reinstall I have noticed that I can't do a full 360 on my character.

FPS is way down lately, even in the middle of nowhere on Dathomir.

If I wanted to play Planetside, I'd go play Planetside. And considering the amount of people that play that, I'm pretty sure SOE would be stupid to do something like that

Personally, I take that qoute to mean thatno one will be speed capped after the CURB

Alot of people might cancel their accounts if it turned more towards an fps, but they'd be replaced with new interested players. Still, like they were saying, would be a real hassle to recode and the lag for lower end systems like mine would cancel out any skill I have with twitch play.

The slice reference relates to the hint on how specials will work. They said strategy is going to be more important and that the cost of specials will be in time. In other words, the more effective the special, the longer it will take you to perform it or recover from it.
I know that's kind of the way it works now, but the only special I've ever seen really take time to recover from is last ditch. Maybe this means that they'll be increasing the timers, and that means that a speed slice won't be so bad anymore. If that's the case, last ditch will probably take forever.
