LOL I'm such a doof....

I go to sell some faction to someone in Bestine. I try to be careful, run to the cantina while overt, hide in the back room.... and it looks like the PVPers won't get me tonight.

So I go to the imp recruiter and go on leave.

And start to chat with another customer.

And forget to move.

In front of the Starport.

While 5 rebel jedi come in their glow-bat ganksquad.

Did I mention 5 Minutes didn't go by yet?

So, I become the first victim of the jedi, procede to send the Jedi a GG and thank him for pointing out how stupid I was for doing this (And of course, hes a scumbag and starts the smacktalk). And remind myself RUN LIKE HELL after selling FP

So, has anyone else ever been this stupid? Or is it just me?

it isn't just you. I got ganked in bestine while selling FP. I didn't even see the red dot coming, just all of a sudden I was looking at the cloning screen.

Well, you were smarter than me. I went overt at the recruiter next to Theed starport. 3 Jedi jumped, stomped, and killed me, before I knew what was going on....LOL. Sometimes I have to learn the hard way.

It's why it is best to find more secluded out of the way recruiters to switch you overt. lol

I think it is normal that selling faction entail some risks, I love that. I would like the system changed so we can really sell on both side. In the actual system we have little choice but it do look a bit weird that every Smuggler who sell faction is a high ranking officer of that faction. Hard to rp the team switching scoundrel then.

You definitely aren't the only one. Other than getting ganked by a cloaked Jedi before, the 5 minute timer has caused me to die at least 2 other times. So now, I generally try only to do faction sales around bases so that I can hide inside of them.

I wish people would stop calling them 'Jedi'. Jedi don't exist, all those 'people' are Force Users at best. I've witnessed or known some 50 different Force Users, and I've still yet to meet a Jedi.

I tend to do my faction sales in Keren. Less traffic means less chance of death. And it's easy enough to get to that the customer doesn't complain about having to go to the middle of nowhere.

hehehe, I don't mind that I got killed... I mind that I was dumb and forgot to move. LOL.

In a strange way, I had fun getting killed.... It was the first time I ever PVP'd (albeit VERY one sided!!) And all I really lost was some wounds an a whopping 13 FP

But the "nice" jedi did teach me a lesson! Go on leave and whip out the swoop!

I've met one Jedi on Bria....and about 300 asshats. I counted them for a while but stopped at literally 193...it just hurt my brain so much.

But one thing I've noticed...every time I sell FP the only thing that attacks me when I'm overt is someone in the "Jedi" profession. God help you if you escape....because now YOU are the "exploiter!!!"

If it is only one of them coming after you, if you are prepared for it and realize it before it is to later. Your best friend is concussion shot followed by burst run.

I met somebody once to sell some faction at Restuss on Rori...usually a dead place, so it's safe for going SF...I sold the faction right before I was logging off, and forgot to go covert before I logged...Next day, I logged in and forgot that I was still SF and started going about my business.

Actually lasted several hours without anybody bothering me...then I loaded into Coronet. By the time I was done loading and actually saw my character on the screen, I was half dead and on my back. Of course, at that point I was very confused trying to figure out why the hell I was being attacked.

But, no biggie...I just cloned and went on with life.

When i sell faction i tend to buy a ticket for the buyer to fly with me to dant's imperial outpost. Sence most people only head for the MO. I have never had any problems there as if a SF would land there thay would have all the stormies to deal with frist befor getting to me. And there is enough stormies there to delay them long enough for you to pull your bike and get your arse out of there.

best place is a faction base you control that is not vulnerable at the time of the sale.
