Thread: This is the way I'm feeling now.

I'm not waiting for our revamp. I'm not waiting for the Combat Balance. I'm not waiting for Jump to Light Speed.

I'm going to play the current game that we have right now, and not worry about "what's to come".

Why? Because what's coming isn't. Not for awhile.

So I'm going to enjoy the game for what it is now, and if changes happen while I'm playing, then that's good.

I'm done yelling and screaming hoping that some of it will get through and make a difference. Because it's not going to make a difference. The developers have their own schedule, and it's theirs to change whenever they want, as they showed us today.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

Yeah I dont think I can wait it out. I love the thought of being a Master Smuggler but the profession isnt much fun to play. I really dont think I can wait for the revamp with all the talk of things being pushed back. If the revamp comes and I like what I see the I will come back. The worst part is I think the smuggler community has been most patient and we havent been given jack. I think smugglers have, by far the finest correspondent in the game and hope Caylinis around long enough to see this thing through. With any luck smugglers will get their revamp and I will be back by next spring.

See y'all later...perhaps I shall try another borked profession....Bounty Hunter here I come.

Well said....I came to this same conclusion around March...took a little while away from the game, and now I play the game for what it is, I hunt, I run my business, I socialize, and every so often get in a group going to DWB or the vette. We still have a ways to go before the fabled revamp goes live...or even before JTL is released. As of right now these darn loot kits are driving me crazy....I mean really why is it easier to find a jedi crystal than a strand of orange rug?....lol

Once again nice post...5 for you :-D

I created Wasodo on Starsider to level up a BH. He has little to NO abilites and I don't know anyone on the server.

I have to say it was very refreshing to start over.

Yes- it's a little frustrating getting incapped by a gang of Worrts.

I logged on this morning picked up a box on rifles and pistols, bought a set of Marabi armor from the bazaar and a DL44with money I earned doing crafting missions. And some dude gave me a land speeder for helping him transfer some items to what I believe is his jedi character.

It's something you might wanna try.

Tonight I will go back to grinding Swordsman and I will try to find some damn containers somewhere in theradiant galaxy- probably kill some imps

but I will be thinking about floating back over to Starsider and getting a DLT20 in order make getting Rifles 2 easier.

This is what I've been doing all along. Recently, I took a break from my Smuggler while I started on a Wookiee BE/CH on another server (boy, those new paintings really help a new character who's not interested in them, quick 300k with no effort). I'd log into my Smuggler first each day to check business matters, but mostly played the new character for the past few weeks. (This is also why I haven't finished my Triple Mastery yet...)

Anyway, I find myself being drawn back to my Smuggler, so I'll be starting back with him tonight.

Point is, just have fun. They'll get it done when they get it done, and there's really no point in complaining.

Still, it doesn't hurt to let your opinion be known when issues come up. We still have to let the Devs know where the problems are and what we would like to see.

Now, if they would just get on with getting Publish 10 released...

I think I may have a container sitting around somewhere, and since I'll be back on Radiant with my Smuggler tonight , give me a yell.

I breathed new life into my character because I had held off really mastering any other professions other than smuggler. I decided to get Weaponsmith because my guild didn't have one, and a whole new side of the game suddenly opened up to me.

Hunting down resources with the best stats, competing with other Weaponsmiths to make better weapons, learning the economy to decide on pricing, getting a vendor set up in a good location to sell my creations, and collecting special loot drop items to enhance my weapons more.

It really changed the way I play the game, and introduced several elements in the gameI wasn't even touching.

That and I don't have to track down a smuggler to slice the weapons I make. <grin>

Yeah, the crafting game is a LOT of fun and very addictive. That was all I played for a long time then I decided to chase the profession I bought the game for after playing with hologrinding for a while. Having fun killing things too.

And Renn I will TOTALLY be sending you a /tell tonight bro!

I am tempted to go to the Tuskan Fort and see if i can slice some containers there and then maybe the squill caves to level but me thinks it will be camped.
