Thread: This is the way I'm feeling now.

I sort of agree. I agree that we should reserve part of ourselves to enjoy this game that we have now, so that we don't get too wrapped up in this.

HOWEVER, if we don't keep involved in this process we end up with the Imperial Crackdown type stuff going uncontested. So yelling and screaming is necessary to make sure the dev's hear us and not just go ahead with some lame duck idea.

Not really, I'm tired of mowing down mobs in sprays of blood too, but I do it when I have to for the money. I took up politician cause I was tired of all that stuff. And I slice and gamble, that's what I do, although I would'nt consider myself one of those hardcore rp'ers.

Actually somehow I also feel this is what the game SHOULD be. Up until I reached Masters I was blinded by the grind.

Now I can enjoy it more. The grind shouldn't have been so long-lasting though in my opinion.

I am only a novice Smuggler and DE but you sir are 100% correct. This IS how the game is supposed to be IMHO. The only hard part is I feel like you have to do a lot of grinding to get to a certain point so you can "coast" and enjoy the people and the surroundings. I think I am just about there. I plan on doing whatever comes up from now on (Well maybe one more DE grind session and Smuggler to reach slice II).

RP's good. I'm enjoying it.

I'm still having a bit of trouble with a few things though:

Client tells you: Hey, can you slice something for me?
You tell Client: Maybe, is it hot?
Client tells you: Nah man, I'd never do something like that to you.
You tell client: Alright, bring it to the cantina, I'll meet you in back.
Client tells you: Roger, omw.
(You meet up, he gives you the gun, you set to work.
Client says: That piece cost me a pretty penny. I need it to be a little faster... very badly. I'll double your price.
You say: Ur, I'm not really capable of selecting how I improve it.
Client says: What? I thought you were good.
You say: I am good, I'm accounted a Master by my peers.
Client says: So how come you can't decide how to fix it. You're the one working on it, right?

RP your way out of that one. Bleh.

Yeah RP's great - Smuggler seems to have quite a lot of RP potential within it.

Client tells you: Nah man, I'd never do something like that to you.
You tell client: Alright, bring it to the cantina, I'll meet you in back.

Good attitude! I kind of went the other way and am cxling my account for the second time. I'm not going to show any loyalty to any game on the market today. If I get bored or frustrated with it, I quit it.
I came to this view after realizing that all the lies and setbacks in SWG was effecting me in rl. I was getting upset and cranky over a stupid game! hehe
As much as I want SWG to succeed I too am not going to stress about it. The idea of a game where you rp and socialize just isn't my style of fun, that's all. I wanted a pvp game with a point to it. (Not just "duels" in main cities by overbuffed l33t guys)
They promised this at the outset and have yet to deliver. What's more, they seem to be going in entirely the wrong direction to make this happen, what with making this a jedi oriented mmorpg now.
So for now, I'll play something else or nothing at all.

One question, when cxling an account, do I need to remove all the stuff from my house and bring it down to avoid it draining all my money?

Sure, that works once.
It kind of loses its thunder after the fifth pass though. Or when questioned about 'what do you mean you dunno if it's faster or stronger, how can you not know?'

I've done more RP in the last month with smuggler than in the previous year with my other 15 class masteries. I dig it, I just wish it was better.

Thanks JTG....I love you guys to death but for minute there i thought i was surrounded by a bunch of weak defeatists w/ no backbone left in them.

Dont let this go guys...they need to hear us...i mean its really sad to see you guys paying for this game and being FORCED to go into professions you really didnt initially WANT to do when you bought this game, or desired to go into b4 you heard about the peril's of the smuggler profession and how we are getting SO shafted that its disrespectable and rude on SOE's part.

Ive been patient enough...and these guys only hear the ppl that speak up for themselves and voice thier desires.

If you DONT want the smuggler profession to move forward....then dont say anything at all.

If you want things to change AT ALL then we'd better stick to our guns and keep our voice out.

Passivity doesnt get you what you want in this game....and all we want really is what we've been promised.
