I took what TH posted (format) and saved it in word format. I will start trying to get some of what Caylin has made into that type of a format and will post as I can. Give me a couple of days ... probably this weekend I will have a rough draft (someplace).

Why jedi gets the attention first ? :/

dont know.. but even space expansion comes out and we dont get anything... hopefully they tie in SE into smuggling while they're at it... it is funny tho that a prof they didnt code inuntil nov/dec is getting a revamp before SL, Ranger, Smuggler and the disappointing DE revamp...

This morning, the team made a decision to delay the Smuggler profession revamp to Publish 11.fficeffice" />

As it stands, we have a heavy amount of resources dedicated to the Combat Balance, the Jedi Revamp, Space, and new content. That leaves us thin on resources for something as massive and as important as the Smuggler Revamp. Because the core of smuggling is mission based, it really is a big project. In order to incorporateelements of smuggling for PvE and PvP elements, it and enhance slicing, large amounts of code have to be done to make this happen.

I know many of you are eagerly awaiting this revamp and I'm sorry it is going to be delayed, but looking at all the different aspects of this situation, this is simply the best choice. By doing this, we will be able to make the Smuggler's experience more of what it should it be and work with you to find out what your ideas are and how we might incorporate them.

Myself and the developers involved in this portion of SWG development will be reading this thread and we will be talking internally about different courses of action, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback and in helping to organize the smuggler community ideas on what you think smuggling should entail.

Again, I know what this means to you and how important it is, but to do the Smuggler revamp the way it needs to be done, this schedule delay has to happen.

first! TH, I don't think you know how much we've wanted some word from you guys in the smuggler forum.
We've felt left out in the cold to tell you the truth.

I look forward to working with you guys on our revamp. We have a sh*t-ton of great ideas and idea-makers here.
Thanks for the communication and for the weight in deciding that the smuggler revamp will require more close affection.

I'll be here, making sure this is a great revamp!

I actually think this is a good sign. The developers may be taking us a little more seriously.

I think most of us saw this coming. I'll be pleased if the extra time is used to actually improve the profession and not just give us the same lame tweaks that you mentioned in the 19 questions thread, only 6 weeks later.

We actually read the boards more than most think. This is a really important issue and to do it "right" needs more raw development time and more community input....

I am more encouraged by this than by what we had seen so far.

Its nice that you're taking it seriously. It would be even nicer if we could get a bigger picture of what you have in store for us and your vision of our role in the game, even if its just conceptual.

I hope this means you're going to take your time and try to implement smuggler bounties.

I'm actually glad to hear this.

TH-...sigh...ol' buddy...I don't know what to think anymore but I'd like to offer you some advice as you go revising us, and the Jedi, and bounty hunters...

Think of the three of us as CONTENT professions. Not just mission based. It is the smugglers, Jedi, and bounty hunters, the three most iconic professions from the movies, that REALLY make this game star wars. We are the ones who should be (along with politicians) making this a RPG for people. I don't know how to code such a thing, but try and keep that in mind when you guys DO revamp these thigns. It sounds like you're leaning that way with the Jedi. Don't forget to include us in that branch as well.

May the force be with you.
