Thread: Hey Wes, do you know what announcement Tyrant is talking about?

As mentioned in another thread:

Just wondering if you know what's up, or are you in the dark too.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Yeah, was wondering that myself. Wes, any ideas?

Or instead of the "patch over the eye" smuggler, are we now going to get a "bone through the nose"?

Actually, I'm expecting the bone to go into our other eye. Later on down the road they're gonna stick one in our ears, so on and so forth until we can't see, hear, or speak anything having to do with nerfs.

At this point, it would be in their best interests to make it something VERY good. If it isn't, they're going to continue to get backlash. There's just too many people who have been waiting for "our turn" for way too long. If it's something trivial, a lot of people will take it as a slap in the face.

Well, judging from his post, Tyrant THINKS it's good. I'm not sure whether it is just a bone, though, or the whole carcass.

Actually, I only expect a skeleton at most... A carcass would imply that there would be some meaton it.

Anybody read the NJO and remember Elagos A'kla? The Camassi guy who thought he could talk sense to the Yuuzhan Vong?

Well...he went and spent time with them, and when it was all said and done, his gold-plated bones were returned to the New Republic...

Lets hope the "bone" we get isn't the gold-plated bones of our corr...

I don't think they'd do that... they'd have every Smuggler on these boards in Austin going Corran Horn on their butts.

lol.. true enough. It wouldn't be very pleasant meat, though, and that fits pretty well.

Seriously though, just based on where they are with the CURB and everything, I don't see how it could be anything that major. Unless they're letting GreenMarine out of the dungeon to come play with us again or something.

Yeah, and they gave us a =) like the FD nerf was good, too.
