Thread: Hey Wes, do you know what announcement Tyrant is talking about?
Why was FD changed now? In preparation for smuggler bounties. This would also explain Wes and Caylin's rather hardline stance that FD was never intended for PVP, as FD clearly needed to be changed before we get on the BH terms.
But, then, we'd need to be able to do something to get us on the BH terms in the first place..

They did say non-combat professions were going to get worked on way back in Jan and we are non-combat so its not unreasonable to think that aside from what our specials do (math wise) we could be getting that long over due re-vamp (I know, I know Im being overly optimistic). I only say this because of how "over the top" silent Wes has been on this FD issue. If he is this quit on such a damaging issue in our community I would like to think it's because something uber good is going to be droped on us have he can't give it away or even hint at it. Guess we will have to wait and see....

To continue with the speculation, the entertainers were told to wait for an announcement sometime next week. Couple that with Smugglers being told to wait for the announcement, I think they may be getting ready to start putting the non combat profession revamp proposals out in the open.
The only way I can see them doing this though is if the Sandbox is starting in the very near future... like tomorrow, simply because the other revamps are supposed to come afte the CURB.
In other words, I think we're going to get something new/different, but not sure what. Well actually, the whole contraband on vendor poll may have something to do with it all since they still have to rerelease the vendor/bazaar changes.I almost forgot about that.
What I fear is one similar to the wonderful announcement of their previous attempt at a Smuggler revamp, anyone remember how much they played up that announcement and how crappy it was?

We all know that SOE is a corporation, or at least part of one. They have everything planned out on a schedule and in procedures. If you're stuck in a cubicle (like I am *groan*) you should know that the procedure is much more important than things like logic.

I remember, and I really don't think it's gonna be about the revamp...
As long as it's not something that goes totally against the wishes of the community, then I'll be content with it. I've resolved myself to waiting til after the CURB at this point.
Oh yeah, and as long as they don't try to make something small seem like a huge deal and they're doing us a favor with it, than I won't rip their heads off.

Duuuuuuude.. we should go get people from the other professions that are going to be fixed at the same time to see if they're also getting a mysterious announcement next week. They did really push this last patch out, after all. What was the hurry?
