Thread: Anyone still going to sell Faction after the changes?
i personally felt better if i wasnt sure about the customer knowing that if it was a setup i had my FD to fall back on, that option has been taken from us now
Opinions?
btw this isnt a plea to the devs or anything, it's been 3 days now and not a word so its seems they arent that fussed what Smugglers are upset about
*Edit* Incorrect information... sorry bout that

When the FD nerf comes into effect you won't have to go overt to sell faction as overt won't be a status. You can delegate from the Combatant (PvE Enabled) status so you have no risk of being killed by another player. There is no need to go to Special Forces (PvP Enabled) status to sell faction.
I thought I read an earlier post that stated you had to be Special Forces in order to deligate. If you can deligate to S.F. from Combatant status, that'd be a major screw-up based on how they wanted new gcw to work. I'll have to head back to the test center later to try this.
If we are unable to deligate while in Combatant status, then I'm only selling to civilians and people already in my faction. If someone wants to change sides, then they'll need to quit their faction first. I'm not walking into that trap.

this is going into effect before the proposed GCW changes or with them?
They are on the same update that is on test now, so it seems that way for now. The only way I would see this changing is if they decided to split this into multiple publishes which does not seem to be their goal at this point in time.
If for some reason the FD nerf kicks in before the GCW changes. One option (if you are a rebel and have JtL) is to do what I do... if they are already a rebel and want to purchase faction, either take your Nova/YT or a friends and RP it a bit. Launch into space and trasport them to the Dantooine sector. Land at the Abandoned Rebel Outpost and do it there. It tends to be pretty safe and out of harms way. Just get creative, don't let the nerfs get you down. Improvise and fight smarter not harder
This nerf did scare me to start with as Smuggler is my only offense now after picking up merchant and WS to RP a gunrunner. Not taking anymore combat than that until the Dev's get off their arses and get balance ranged/melee and put jedi into hiding, so started thinking of ways to keep my FP sales etc in the less common areas. If some imperial wanted to kill me that bad that he will camp that outpost in the middle of nowhere for a couple days waiting to catch me? Let him, he coulda made a lot more creds stalking a jedi as a BH until smuggler bounties are introduced.
