Thread: Mandalorian Armor for smuggler

I don't see why any non wookiee shouldn't be able to wear it personally, but I dont know much along the storyline of Star Wars other than the movies.

mandalorian is cool and all, but I must admit I think it pretty much belongs to only two professions. Commando and Bounty Hunter. Other than those two, I can't say I would particularly care for smugglers to have mandalorian armor.

The other thing is that the armor is gong to be rare. For rp aspects of smuggler, we want to blend in and not stick out. Having rare armor on will turn heads for sure.

Not a huge armor fan to begin with, since the only characters I really remember wearing it were Stormies and clones, so I don't think we should get certed for it or anything. On the other hand, as Joras said, Mandalorian armor is supposidly rare. Anyone know a profession that transports rare items? Ok ok ok....a profession that *theoretically* transports rare items? Would be kinda entertaining if we were the only prof that could obtain it, but that we couldn't use it.

The armor is Mandalorian Armor, not Bounty Hunter Armor...
The mandalorians were a people who had their own armor and just so happens the guy that made the armor famous was a bounty hunter... If anything, BH armor that the black sun people drop should be BH specific and the mandalorian should be open to the masses.

Not being rude but I see no reason why smugglers should get Mando Armor. Ideal of a smuggler would be plain clothes with maybe some kind of protection underneath the shirt at most. Then again as a Master Smuggler/Commando I will be trying to get some.

I think that smugglers wearing armor is kind of weird anyhow. Then again...becuase we can't sell spice and our basic attacks pretty much suck, we have to resort to wearing it to run destroy missions. Would be nice if we could have some special clothing that would be as effective as armor (not composite mind you). But something that will offer pretty good protection and still make you carry the look of a smuggler...not the look of a knight of Camelot.

first of all I just wanted to say that Bounty armor is vul to acid and someother stuff.And you need a full to set to make mandolrian and a group of many proff to go into the hardest dungeon there is?
So only the so called "1337" ppl will be able to wear or rich people. And most of ´em would ever dream of using it in combat. So it´s just a way to get attention in cantinas and sofort.
Second why should a smuggler be able to wear a heavy armor that would slow him down while running from bounty hunters?

Until the rvamp we aint got nobody to run from....Being on the terms actually might be kind fun. Make me be a little more paranoid.

I don't think Smugglers should be able to wear the Mandalorian Armor. It doesn't really fit in with my idea of what a Smuggler should look like, much less how a Smuggler should be perceived. I've never fully agreed with the idea of Smugglers being bada$$ fighters. While many smugglers can fight, and fight well, the prefered method of dealing with hostile situations is fast talking, quick thinking, and an intimate knowledge of where the exits are. Just my 2 creds.

I wouldnt wear it anyway,there are going to be too many Boba look alikes as it is.
What we need is more options to what our armor looks like ,take composite it looks ok,but not when everyone else is wearing it.There needs to be alot more different looking armor that can have the same stats as each other so we can feel more unique. Soe has some good artists ,tell them to come up with some stuff.

Hate to be a BH in the smuggler forums, but I am not too sure the Mandalorians had smugglers 
I am sure they had Squad Leaders (you can see in the comic on Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Jango Fett was one)
I am sure they had Commandos (Thats basically what they were)
I am sure most of them became Bounty Hunters (Jango Fett, Montross, etc)
Although I am not so sure about Rangers. . . so if they had Rangers maybe they had smugglers. But the thing is, who wants to see 800 Mandalorians running around?

I don't see any reason for Smugglers to wear Mando. I think the BH's and Commandos deserve the exclusive armor. Smugglers generally don't like to draw attaention to themselves so why would they wear a rare armor.
