"Although I am not so sure about Rangers. . . so if they had Rangers maybe they had smugglers. But the thing is, who wants to see 800 Mandalorians running around?"
Who wants to see more than ZERO? Should have never been a player item to begin with but oh well. And I don't want to see smugglers in armor anymore than I do jedi but what can ya do when the devs made it such an integral part of the game. Not going to find to many people willing to group hunt with you running around in your street clothes with no buffs. And it's not like we can smuggle for our cash, and not all of us want to be a colonel in the military either.

I think every elite combat profession related to the military should be certed for this armor at master. Pistoleers, Riflemen, Carbineers, Commandos, Squad Leaders, the three armed brawler elites, and bounty hunters (just because).
Rangers who want to wear it should pick up rifleman or something. The Mandalorians were a race of warriors--soldiers. After being defeated by the Jedi in the Mandalorian Wars, a number of them went back and tried to recapture their lost glory, and a few went on to working as mercenaries and, yes, bounty hunters. But, first and foremost, they were warriors.
Mandalorian armor is not a bounty hunter's armor--it is a warrior's armor. And any warrior should be able to learn how to wear it properly (with the exception of TKAs, who should have major defense bonuses that are completely negated when wearing armor). The gadgets on the suit are customized to the wearer, though I doubt the gadgets will come into play in SWG.
What I'm most upset about is the way you make the stuff. I wanted a suit for my office in town, but with it being made only in the bunker, I can't just collect pieces over time and have it made. It's going to be a veritable pain in the ass to get, which I guess is good, but still disappointing.

personaly I don't want to wear mandalorian armor, I like my biker look and if I'm in battle I'm sure as hell going to wear my composite over some of the bounty hunter armor I've seen, it is plain ugly and the stats are bad. Fair enough I haven't seen any Mandalorain armor yet or it stats, not that interested. Why would a smuggler wear the armor?

Actually I'm wearing armor about all the time.... no, not what you may think now, I'm not running around in full composite, I wear an ubese armor shirt and ubese armor pants for the looks of it, and I have to admit an ubese shirt with 4 slots is useful too. My second clothing set is a long sleeve shirt, ribbed pants and a pilot jacket. I have a full set of composite armor for about 6 weeks now, and I think I used it twice in this time because I consider it a heavy combat armor for when the air is burning. It always reminded me of the Silencer armor suit from the Crusader games. So do I want Mandalorian armor? Well there is no logical reason why any non-wookiee should not be able to wear it, but before all people run around in this armor like they do it now with composite... no, better not.

Actually still see now reason why it should not, it's an "armor shirt" after all and even looks a bit like a bullet proof vest.

before beta started i always imagined having a bulletproof vest type thing under a duster or jacket. if they introduce armor certifications it would be pretty cool to have smugglers be able to wear an armored shirt that can go under regular clothes.

I'm not even going to be nice. What the hell for? I've never heard a thing about smugglers being tied to mandolorian armor in the star wars universe so I repeat: What the hell for?
If it's just because you feel slighted another profession gets something as iconic as mandolorian armor then go be a **edit**ing bh or commando.
God, I hate when people piss on other people's parades. BH's and especially commandos deserve some perk. Mandolorian armor fits with the story (mostly) for them so they get it. No one else. You want to be able to wear wookie armor to?

I think Mando armor should be so rare, that a full set would be like unlocking 5 jedi slots at once. As for jedi, they should not even be in the game as players.

I think it would be wrong, so wrong that i created another character just for that purpose - because my smuggler should not be wearing it, just my opinion.
