I am really tired of hearing your complaints. Don't get me wrong as I love a good **edit**-fest as much as the next person and have given more then my fair share, but getting sick of this bad one.

With the changes to Bounty Hunter requirements the most powerful firearm combination in the game is a Smuggler Tree 4, Bounty Hunter Pistol Tree 4 and then some pistol tree for some defenses.

You can now Master Marskman, Brawler Unarm IV, Master Smuggler, Scout Exploration IV,Bounty Hunter 0-0-4-0 and have 32 points left. Plus Scatter Pistol Certification! (frankly with all the pistols in the game I have used, which is all of them, it's the best pistol even post nerf by far!)

Those 32 are enough to take one whole Pistoleer Tree (dodge tree and then 3 more of a second pistoleer tree branch)!

This will give you multiple extremely damaging Pistol Shots, which INCLUDE several BLEEDS, a VERY POTENT KNOCKDOWN with Low Blow and make you faster then a Master Pistoleer. And lets not forget about EYE SHOT!

Frankly that makes youis one of the most potent combat characters in the GAME as long as you stay out of a TK's melee reach.

And if you are gun-monkey you shouldn't be in arm's-reach of a TK anyway if you have half a brain!

SMUGGLERS ARE COMBAT GODS!!!!!!!! If you take the right support professions!

Please report this post as abusive so the Devs can see that some people actually understand the Smuggler Class and know that it isn't even close to being broken! It ROCKS!!

Did I mention slicing your own FREAKING ARMOR AND WEAPONS!!!!!! CHA-CHING! And getting the better SEA's as you can SLICE those blasted MAG-LOCKS!!

Oh and wait there is FEIGN DEATH for PvE!

Dude Smugglers Rock! They are combat gods and if you don't think so, you clearly don't know how to play them!

Please let your FLAMES COMMENCE NOW!!!

And if you dont want the temp you layed out? And where is the SMUGGLER content like i dont know, smuggling? Not everyone wants to be uber combat gods and the profession has a lot more potetical then simply combat. Bounty Hunter Teff's? More items to slice? Spice? your going to tell me Spice is a great skill tree? Your going to sit there and tell me Underworld is worth the skill points? You know what I hate? People who think they are all knowing just because they were around for beta, Ive been in game since launch and you know what that means, not a damn thing! You were here before me,big deal from your post you know nothing of what smugglers are looking for in this profession, try thinking outside the box, there is more to smuggler then combat.

Oh come on.

Take a look at your build. Notice how hevily it relies on everything but smuggler... whoo. One combat feat that's important. And how much does that -really- change if you don't have it?

Now, I believe it needs to be noticed, that the strength that you are getting, is not *because* of smuggler skills, but the ones you have taken in addition to smuggler. Eye shot and bleeds are not really part of smuggler itself. It's part of another professions skill set.

And if you are gun-monkey you shouldn't be in arm's-reach of a TK anyway if you have half a brain!

SMUGGLERS ARE COMBAT GODS!!!!!!!! If you take the right support professions!

I can be a combat god if I take TKM and a couple other things along with Master Weaponsmith. Master Weaponsmiths are COMBAT GODS!

Ehh no need to report.

Yah, that sounds like smuggling right there... oh wait... not it doesn't.

Oh and wait there is FEIGN DEATH for PvE!

True, but normally if I have to feign death in the first place, its because the mob could chew me up and spit me out. When I stand back up, it's going to come straight for me...

Dude Smugglers Rock! They are combat gods and if you don't think so, you clearly don't know how to play them!

A combination of many professions can make even an entertainer profession a combat god. So I feel your point is lacking.

Excellent question and I knew it was coming so I had some material prepared...

Smuggling. Yep it ain't there. Ok a good, valid issue. One that will be somewhat addressed in JTL by adding ships.

Mind you the original post of mine was directed completely towards the VERY VOCAL community of Smugglers who complain about their Combat ability. Therefore that's what that was aimed at.

For those that Combat isn't the issue, you drop the BH and Scouting from my template above when JTL comes out which saves you 43 points.

With those 43 points, I'd finish off that 4th box of the pistoleer tree you had 3 boxes of before and then take all the rest of my points in the new Piloting skills. 43-2=41..

Base Pilot Profession:

41-15=26

14 one whole pilot tree

with 12 points left into the random pilots skill boxes..

Lets remember Star Wars and Han Solo shall we... In the movie who did most of the flying???? Sure as heck wasn't Han.. It was CHEWIE!! Chewie was a Pilot/Mechanic while Han was the Smuggler. He was a great pilot, but he was no Luke Skywalker nor even an averagefighter pilot.

The difference was Smuggling was less about Piloting then about SMUGGLING. The current system allows Smugglers to avoid or better chance to avoid the Imperial Scans then other classes. That's what smugglers do in the films!

Han is great pistoleer, passable pilot and a great smuggler...

You will be able to make that exact class when JtL goes live...

Face it folks SMUGGLERS ARE GODS!!! They don't need anything save JtL to come out. And yes it sucks for the wait, but frankly they told us when it went live it was going to be sometime before the Space Expansion came out...

And exactly how do you feel about the other 75%+ 2 skillboxes and master box? Are they Godly as well? What's a Godly template for a master smuggler? What does a smuggler do if he wants to carry a bowcaster and be like Chewie instead of Han?

And magseals? please...

come back when you have a clue man.

If you were truly a Smuggler for so long, you would know this statement is incorrect.

To me that negates any of your other points, as you obviously have no clue.

/sigh... then say so... becasue MOST of the VERY VOCAL people here are complaining just as much or more about the 75%+ of our skills that are non combat related.

Caylen (spelling sorry),

You make some interesting points, but smugglers were never suppose to be combat gods on their own.

But what makes them a cut above the rest is the KNOCKDOWN with a pistol, the fastest firearm in the game.

Frankly there is no single Class in and of itself that is all powerful.

A TK without Buffs, ala TK/Master Doc will go down pretty fast against most other classes from a distance. I have proven it myself. A friend has a TKMaster and I had just a lowly Novice Pistoleer, but with a little clever-ness and the wisdom to never get close I dropped him.

He had good armor, but no buffs.... Add Buffs into the equation and it makes a huge difference.

However, TK's don't get Buffs without paying for them which is a limited resource or being a Doc and TK. Thus a combo-profession.

Though your points are interesting you don't actually poke holes in anything I said.

Smugglers have the only Pistol Knockdown in the game. Last Ditch does massive damage. I went through more Dark Troopers and Rancor with that single attack then I thought possible at the time.

Every profession in this game has holes. That's intentional so that not one profession has every player in the game in it. You must be diverse.

If you want to be a combat goon you must have multiple professions, period.

The template I described just happens to be one of the best.

If anyone deserves to complain I'd say it's Commando's frankly. However, with the right stacking you can be a very potent Commando as well. And remember Commandos were designed for SIEGE combat, aka taking out installations, turrets and AT-ST's with heavy weapons.

Like I said I see you points, but think you want too much for Smuggler profession. Smugglers aren't Jedi's and aren't suppose to be the end all be all combat goons by themselves. With the right Combo they can be though! So pick one, Combat or Smuggling... You can do both once Piloting skills come out..

Flame on!

You are aware that there's suppose to be extra skill points in JTL that can be just applied to the Pilot professions, right?

I sincerely doubt he is, as he thinks we can slice mag-seals at this time.

No You didn't, You are Talking Out Your Rear at this point.

Smuggling. Yep it ain't there. Ok a good, valid issue. One that will be somewhat addressed in JTL by adding ships.

Actually, Ships does not a smuggler Make, Our revamp has been pushed til AFTER JTL, So point 1, Shut up

Mind you the original post of mine was directed completely towards the VERY VOCAL community of Smugglers who complain about their Combat ability. Therefore that's what that was aimed at.

Actually the Vocal part of the smuggling Community wants a Revamp as a whole to Include Content, Our Combat Skills are a Part of that, Point 2, Shut Up

For those that Combat isn't the issue, you drop the BH and Scouting from my template above when JTL comes out which saves you 43 points.

Why should I have to Take something Else just to "Tide me over" Our Stuff has been Broken since Before Launch and Hell Chefs Got a revamp before us, Point 3, Shut Up

Apparently you don't know how to read because they announced that the pilot Skills do not require Skill points, Point 4, Shut up

Ok here I am just gonna call you an Idiot. You Know nothing about Star Wars, Han Solo is Probably one of the Best Pilots in the Galaxy. It is Shown in the Books and in the Movies. Chewie Flew to Take care of things when Han was Busy, but when real piloting was Needed it was Han that was there. Point 5, Please Shut up

The difference was Smuggling was less about Piloting then about SMUGGLING. The current system allows Smugglers to avoid or better chance to avoid the Imperial Scans then other classes. That's what smugglers do in the films!

OooOOooo We can avoid the Scans that Almost Never happen and Any Imperial, or Dude with a Droidcan get out of. Cause thats Smugging. SHUT UP!

Han is great pistoleer, passable pilot and a great smuggler...

You have No Clue, Shut up

You will be able to make that exact class when JtL goes live...

No we can't Cause we still won't have a Re-Vamp, And Shut up

Face it folks SMUGGLERS ARE GODS!!! They don't need anything save JtL to come out. And yes it sucks for the wait, but frankly they told us when it went live it was going to be sometime before the Space Expansion came out...

Funny, I thought they told me I could be a Smuggler at Launch? Silly me what Was I thinking.

Actually, according to the Star Wars RPG Han was an excellent pilot, which is why he got his commission in the Imperial Navy. Just trying to set that straight.

Regarding your template. Nice, but I like mine. I don't care about being a PVP god. I play the game to have fun. If your idea of fun is being the best in PVP then fine, go and play that way. If I wan't to have a toon that can sit on his arse and polish chance cubes, I can. People who don't like the way smugglers are right now, have the right to voice their opinions. Telling them they don't know how to play the game, is just childish.

As a side note, if you just take smuggler by itself what combat ability is there? I'm interested in your opinion about this? What if I don't want to take BH, Master Marksman, and one tree of PIstoleer. Does that mean that I am still valid? Please let me know, cause I'm not seeing it. No flame or anything, just wanted to see where you are coming from.
