Thread: SOE just guearanteed I'll never sell FP

I was thinking of starting to sell FP. Either use far out of the way palces to go SF to do this, or just look for disconnected shadows at the recruiter. now this.....

Profession: Jedi

  • Changed the way the Padawan Robe functions are displayed. It is now displayed as a buff effect.
  • Tattle-tale shadows from "hidden" characters have been removed.
  • Transitions between characters being visible/invisible will be smoother.

Argg... we now have no defense against cloaked jedi who like to grief FP sellers.

I was weary of selling FP because of this, now I definatly won't

I know that the first jedi to see this post is gonna jump all over it saying that seeing a cloaked jedi shadow is unfair.

But i say so too is camping cloaked at recruiters, just to grief FP sellers. Not all jedi do this but the looser jedi do it.

And before someone else says "you have to be prepared to fight if you go SF"....I agree. Usually only go SF to PVP. But we are forced to go SF to delegate FP. My intentions at this point is not combat, but sales.

I will accept any flamming i get about ranting(or whining as most call it)

But anybody who defends the practice of camping recruiters cloaked, is probably one of the jerka$$ jedi who do this.

Easy fix for this SOE, let us delehgate FP at overt.

Stop whining and start thinking like a smuggler.

Cloaked Jedi can't get on board your ship - ask your customer to wait by the starship terminal and proceed directly there after purchasing the faction and declaring. Remember that you only have to be SF to delegate the faction, not to buy it.

I consider this a risk that comes with the job - and I expect my customer to protect me while I work. The price goes up significantly if I get killed for their benefit.

Just sell it someplace out of the way like the Imp outpost on lok. Make the transaction inside the building and all you have to do is run right outside, converse, and run back in for the five minute span.

I knew I'd be told to stop whining. I just needed to get that rant off my chest.

Good idea, but id rather use a different location. If I went even overt at any imp outpost, being a rebelI'd die very fast. Not to mention that i don't think i could declair there.

I guess I could always do it at a rebel base. Would I go to a PVP or PVE base for that?

Just drop a few high level bases of your own, tell your customers to come there... and you'll never have to worry about getting jedi ganked ever again.

If you don't want to do that, then just give them a ride to the abandoned rebel base on dantooine... you can't even go inside unless you are combatant or overt rebel. I prefer my rebel Headquarters though, there's a bank terminal there if your customer decides they need more faction.

Oh, and my bases are all PvE bases. Why? Because with all those high level NPCs around that will shoot at cloaked jedi... you'll know for sure if one's trying to get inside.

True, I tend to get wordy. For example: I slit the sheet the sheet I slit and on the slitted sheet I sit. That is quite wordy, when all one wanted to say was I sat on a slitted sheet. One's purpose in saying the former would to show skill in talking without cursing, which has become quite the lost art.

True, however, cursing... well, not really cursing these days, as I rarely see or hear anyone invoking a curse upon someone... or the use of profanity are time honored methods of expressing displeasure or adding emphasis to a statement. While the use of a large and impressive vocabulary does tend to demonstrate a certain level of education and refinement, it loses it's effect if your target audience does not also posess said vocabulary... whereas profanity is pretty much universal.
