Thread: SOE just guearanteed I'll never sell FP
Have them meet you at any starport, while you're covert/combatant (but be sure to tell them to be covert/on leave), group them on a yacht or other mp ship, land at your appropriate faction base (Imperial Retreat or Rebel Bases), then go SF and delegate.
You can take them with you or leave 'em there depending on how the transfer went.
You need to do the Space Station mission to get access to land at the bases, but they aren't too hard.
The thing that wasn't mentioned originally, is get paid first.
Always.
Either when you meet them at a starport or before you go SF at the base, get paid first.
If they want to kill you, at least you got paid.
Anyone that won't pay me first can find another smuggler, I've only had a few that wouldn't.
Whether they just didn't trust me or were looking for an easy kill, I don't know.
(I'm too lazy to search for the old post, but not to type, how ironic)
-Edit-
You must be RSF or Imperial Inquisition to do the Emperor's Retreat mission, any Rebel squadron for the Rori Rebel Base, and any Rebel tier 2 or greater for the Abandoned Base on Dantooine.
Get the full details at Guide: How do I land at...? on the Pilot forums.
I think you also have to be combatant to enter the bases. Whether you can declare outside or not, I don't know.
Whether you can keep the landing rights if you drop your squadron I don't know either.
-Edit #2-
I realized that the thread I listed may have the answer, and apparently it does.
It appears that if you drop your squadron, your landing rights are revoked. Going from one Reb squad to another should be fine, but Imps are hosed as only RSF or Imp Inq get to land their.

Two things...
1) What kind of a sorry a$$ excuse for a jedi lurks around in hiding waiting for hapless victims?
2) Smugglers really ought to have good stealth abilities of their own.
Bah! What am I thinking... There's maybe 6 Jeditotal among all the servers put together. The
rest are just glowsticks with too much freetime. And SOE/LA will never fix smugglers. /sigh

1. jedi aren't the only ones that lurk around waiting for overts. Hiding in the cloner works just as well.
2. Feign death works, if they last long enough.

Dude, you should start a guild or something.

1) Ahh, but Jedi are the only ones beholden to a code of honor - without that, they are just glowsticks. How can hiding in the cloner work if whenever someone dies and gets cloned there status gets reset to "on leave"?- as it should be, keeps down the res/kill greifing. Others, such as snipers/assassins would be expected to lurk in stealth mode waiting for the opportunistic kill.
2) Feign death is not stealth. Have you ever tried using it in PvP? LOL! Only a newb would fall for that.
You never know, besides, if you're going to be incaped anyway, you've got nothing to lose.
Though knockdown > concussion would be my choice.
Now, try shaying that like... Sean Connery!

personally I think you guys need to lay off your fellow Smuggler. It's a legitimate complaint, while there is a fun in danger, its no fun getting ganked by something you cant even see coming. I dont mind the Spec Force requirement, in fact, I like it. But a jedi uncloaking on you out of nowhere to disrupt your business isnt fun.
Like others have said, just move your operations to a more tactical place, a reb base. Prefferably a pve detach HQ, as it has high lvlnpc's outside. they can take care of that pesky jedi while you complete your sale, then you can take care of the jedi yourself. ![]()

- Changed the way the Padawan Robe functions are displayed. It is now displayed as a buff effect.
- Tattle-tale shadows from "hidden" characters have been removed.
- Transitions between characters being visible/invisible will be smoother.
Argg... we now have no defense against cloaked jedi who like to grief FP sellers.
I was weary of selling FP because of this, now I definatly won't
I know that the first jedi to see this post is gonna jump all over it saying that seeing a cloaked jedi shadow is unfair.
But i say so too is camping cloaked at recruiters, just to grief FP sellers. Not all jedi do this but the looser jedi do it.
And before someone else says "you have to be prepared to fight if you go SF"....I agree. Usually only go SF to PVP. But we are forced to go SF to delegate FP. My intentions at this point is not combat, but sales.
I will accept any flamming i get about ranting(or whining as most call it)
But anybody who defends the practice of camping recruiters cloaked, is probably one of the jerka$$ jedi who do this.
Easy fix for this SOE, let us delehgate FP at overt.
I know this doesnt completely solve your problem but going to an obscure PVE base and doing transactions there is one way of side-stepping the issue. Personally I think the overt thing to delegate is legacy from pre-February when they removed overt/covert. Covert became on leave and overt became SF, legacy code switched up to SF when technically in a lot of cases combatant would have been fine. My guess is they over looked it and still have not fixed it. Delegating faction makes no sense to be overt. This isnt even limited to smugglers btw.
