Is it normal for B2's to fly low over Detroit?
Cuz uh, I've never seen one before...

If there were one, major city in the U.S. that needed to be strategically bombed, it would be Detroit.
Why do you think the movie RoboCop was shot there?

hmm, i thought, by the look of it, it had been bombed.

Was there a military (active/guard/reserve) base near there having an open house?
Most will request the AF to supply aircraft for static displays or flybys it's good PR and helps with the recruiting effort.

Can you request a B2 flyby? lol.
I'm thinkin the All-star game is the right explanation, as that's where it was flying, But yes, there is a military airfield round abouts here, may well have been where it took off... several different reserves, national guards, auxilliaries, uh, support sqaudrons etc. there.

A military unit can can also be done for events depends on event and who is asking you personally NO, do not think they like smugglers.
