you said to yourself Han Solo was the man, what line or scene?

For me it was the first time I'd seen ANH (76, 77 when ever it came out), I was 6 and the only twothings I remember from that moment in time(its like a dream to me now, lol) was the opening combat and the cantina scene. I remember when Han was walking out, flipped the barkeep a credit and said "sorryabout the mess". I think to me that was the moment that made Han far cooler then Luke could ever hope to be and the reason I dont want to go Jedibut stay smuggler. /shrug...

No this has nothing to do with revamps, it's just for fun.....

At risk of being shot...I actually like Luke more then Han...but there is no doubt that Han is waaay cooler. I think it's apples and oranges, myself. Han is just a different kind of monkey then Luke is.

To me he is the "cool" older brother, who looks after Luke throughout the movies.

Definitely has to be when he shot Greedo though, no doubt that he was a slick, balls to the wall guy with how he handled that whole deal.

I was born after all 3 movies, 1985, but I still grew up loving it all. I had the action figures and what not. When they re-released them in 97, I was soo happy, it gave us youngins the chance to experience the magic that you guys all did...and also see the new added stuff and now we have the pre-quels too.

Oh man....this is just too tough to decide. He was cool in all three...so Ijust cant think of one, will say thishowever.

Although I love, and understand that the prequels are ment to be different stories all together, I think it kind of hurt the movies to not have a character like Han Solo in them. There have been a few pre-quel novels with such characters, but sadly not in the movie.

Most of the main characters are Jedi...and the Jedi just can't be the same kind of character Han is.

Luke may have been the closest thing to what Han would be if a Jedi, but its hard to tell, just because they are in the same movie.

Han's a badass, no doubt about that. But I wanted to be a smuggler because of Talon Karrde of the EU books

I'm not 100% sure on the line but it was at the end of ANH...

"Your all clear kid, now let blow this thing and all go home!"

I really though Luke was going to get wasted, and low and behold here comes the last person you though would be a team player to save the day!

I wanted to be Han after (and all through) ANH, really. His ship kicked ass and everything.

But the moment...

I think that would be:

"...I Know."

That was the coolest line in all three of the movies and it says more about who he is than anything else because he could pull an arrogant line off like that and make you like him even more.

hmmmm...I definitely have to drop rebel pilot and get my Falcon!

Well, Han was very cool all the time. But, after seeing the Mos Eisley docking bay scene a couple of times, I noticed just how many good, aimed shots he got off before that first Stormtrooper finished hitting the ground. Awesome.

Harrison Ford was very cool for managing to stumble through the line, "Marching into the detention center is not what I had in mind." Listen to him say that one again, then try to say it yourself.

Luke was ok, but that's not the point. It's not Luke that drew me to Jedi, it was actually old Obi-Wan, the idea of Jedi in general, the Jedi Code, and that very cool Lightsaber.

(By the way, Lucas's original idea was that the lightsaber was to be a common weapon carried by all of the Stormtroopers. This is revealed in some old concept art of Stormtroopers carrying them. Then he decided differently and it became the very special weapon it is. Think just how different Star Wars would have been. It wouldn't have been quite the same...)

Little known fact, that line was not Lucas's, it was our own Harrison Ford's. Han was scripted to reply in kind, but Ford felt it wasn't in Han's character, so Lucas let him adlib whatever he felt at that moment.

Ditto!

To answer the original post though...

I think the "I know..." line is definitely the coolest.
