Its pretty well documented that Harrison Ford had dislike for the Dialogue that was written for the movies.

for me it was the cantina scene when he was talking to Greedo. Greedo tells him 'I've been looking forward to this for a long time'. Han's responce, 'Yes, I'll bet you have', came a second befrore he fired first sending Greedo to an early grave. At that point I realised, 'sh1t, he's one stone cold badass'.

Yeah, imagine how much better the prequels would be if there was an actor of Harrison Ford's Confidence to say "yanno what, that line is way to cheesy, I should say this...."

True, the worst part about SW in some ways is how the guy who created it, has ruined it.

I don't doubt that GL has vision...otherwise there wouldn't BE any Star Wars. He just needs someone else to filter and focus it for him. ESB is a great example. It's Lucas' vision...but was directed by someone else. And, ESB is definitely the best of the original trilogy.
There's no doubt in my mind that Eps 1 and 2 would have been 100x better, had Lucas brought in an outside director. Granted, he did say he wanted to do Ep 1 himself, so he could establish the visual feel for the prequels. But, it could've been alot better if he would've brought in some assistance on the screenplays (ugh...the dialogue just sucks) and someone to co-direct.
It looks like he's finally on track with Ep 3...but he wasted 2 whole movies to get there...

I'm just a general fan of people whom trouble seems to find, yet they always manage to command respect through the situation. Not the respect of the people in the film/novel/whatever, but the respect of the audience.
I'm going to swing this around, and give my, WORST scene with Han in the movies. ROTJ, when Han has been thawed from the carbonite, and he and luke are before Jabba in the palace. Luke acts all Badass, "you should've bargained," while Han is pretty much begging for his life. TOTALLY LAME. I know it's meant to show how far Luke has come but still. Totally out of character for Han.

I attribute that to Han's hibernation sickness, yeah that's it....

my favorite moment must be when he goes out to take out 2 stormtroopers, and leia tells him to be carefull, and his response: "hey, it's me..."
that's usually how my actions end up hehe
though i am not shooting a small DL-44, my prefered weapon is my new krayted DXR6B... altered, offcourse hehe

not really out of character for Han, he might be cool as hell, but if you look at him, he is a bumbler as well. His fast talking skills have much to be desired lol.

I was born 1982 and here's a secret, I never actualy liked starwars till I was about 12 years old

I baught WC3 and then Tie-fighter for my first PC. I loved space sims they were so cool. I then decided to watch starwars for the X-wing Tie fighter dog fights, there was no turning back then.
So I didn't actualy get into starwars for Jedi, to me starswars will always be X-wings and Tie-fighters.
Han Solo has just so much chrisma compared to whiney Jebi Knight L337 Skywalker. He's got style, he knows how to fight, fly and doesn't reley on anybody or thing apart from himself and the falcon. He's rude, know's what he wants and will fight dirty to get it. He has no magic powers like Luke or Superman for that matter.

I love Han. Harrison Ford and Han Solo are in my opinion one of the reasons why the original movies are so much better than the prequels. He brought character and charisma and chemistry to the heroes of the original trilogy. It is not captured in the prequels, the bad dialogue is just that bad dialogue.
I am jsut saying that part of Han's endearing character is the fact he is a bumbler and screws up, gets in over his head and his skill and luck gets him out of it. From the botched con on the deathstar to his asteroid chase. To his antic on Endor when he couldn't sneak up on a Scout trooper. That made for classic comedy in a serious situation. Look at the attempts to do the same in the prequels.. failed miserably... "She looks like she is on top of things". In Star Wars only Han made those horrible lines work.
