Smuggler Archive
Thread: Let's agree as a Smuggler community to charge more for the new slices.
I used to charge by rank.
The outrage on Imperial Officers at facing a 20k slicewas well worth any lost income I might have incurred.
100K sounds reasonable, actually.
250K for people that whine about the price.
I was thinking something along the lines of....
20k for the first level (ya know, 2% dam or 2% speed, etc) 50k for anything requiring the simple tool kit 100k for anything requiring the fine tool kit Higher than that will be determined by the rarity of the slice parts, but I'm thinking millions here. Now the kicker, since everyone says that Master Smuggler is worthless:
Any slice that ends with the customization level 50% doesn't change. Any slice that ends between 50% and 75% gets a 2x multiplier.Any slice that ends up > 75% gets a 3x multiplier.
That means that if you want 6% damage on your pistol and you're already at 50%... 300k. Probably won't put the multiplier on the rarest slices since they're going to be expensive enough.
Do you know how many times in the last two years I've seen price control suggestions on this board? (Rhetorical question, quite a few suffice it to say.)
It has never worked nor will it ever work. Not nearly all the smugglers read this forum so few are likely to get the word. And most players are greedy enough to take advantage of lowering their prices if they can steal a bit of work.

Ok, here's one... How much do we charge when all the converted stuff is bye-bye? When we have to get it looted? For the real good stuff, I was thinking along the lines of at least 500k... I know I'm holding out on my converted stuff! lol
500k!
Good god - that means that your slice will cost more than a suit of standard core armour mate.

What about: Weapon use lvl x customisation lvl x 1k?
So For example a high capacity scatter pistol (lvl 54 weapon use) with a t4 customisation would be 216k.
or a Power 5 pistol (lvl 40 weapon use) with a t3 customisation would be 120k.
Just my idea for a scaling price system. It may be garbage but what do you think?
That doesn't sound too bad.
