LOL, great stories, i got a small one, when I got feign death I wanted to try it out, then my other smuggler friend gave me an Idea, try it on a noob in a duel, get some kicks.....So I duel this noob for fun no db or nothinin anchorhead. we start and I use feign death right off the bat, he shoots me like twice and I fall down... He is clueless, he's like...ah what happened, no one told him what was going on 'hardly anyone there" and for like maybe 5mins i'm sittin there and he's freaking out, finally my buddy broke it to him, we got a big kick out of it.

Yeah I get people acking me to slice stuff. They ask, " Are you Master ".. I say "no.. I have all 4 slice boxes filled though."
The we go into the whole routine about randomness for a few minutes. I tell tehm to check the SWG boards and read some about it, you know become an educated buyer. In the end about half the time people leave... they want a master, which is ok with me.
Not a really funny situation.. but actually a little sad really, and anoying that it happens all the time.

Its not really funny but its a decent story.
I had just got novice smuggler and had my tag up in Eisley cantina. Some guy comes up and asks me to help him transfer stuff from this char to another one on the same server. He hands me all his stuff, with some good stuff included. I hang around for 15mins until his new char /tells me "I hope you haven't stolen my stuff". I reply no and that I'm in Eisley still. I give him his stuff and he says to me "Thanks, you've restored my confidence in smugglers" and tips me some creds. I felt good after that.

She didn't get it, ended up with a 17% (IIRC) speed slice. She was good about it though, but I did warn her of the risk before hand.

Looking at that screenshot, 9.7 speed before slice, I'd be praying for a speedslice. My rifle/smuggler caps at 97 spd with any rifle below 8.0 spd, but 9.7? What was the speed afterwards? 17% might push it down to around 8.0 I guess.

huh? 35% is the max for weapons. You can slice for as high as 45% for encumberance slices.

if they are Master Rifleman, then a normal shotwith that babyfires at the cap. If they are Speed-capped at 95, then everything but Conceal Shot, the Flushing, Flurry, Startle, and Strafe Shot 2s, and surprise shot fires at the cap, also, which is considerablely faster than non-speed capped with the average T21. If the player is speed capped, then it will fire faster than the norm.

I just remember a story something that happended the other day. I was on tatooine and about to leave for lok.. the problem is that I forgot that I had my Master Smuggler tag on. The reason is that I was at jabbas palace and figured that I should wear the master smuggler tag while chilling in the throne room. Anyways I an in Bestine when a guy asks me:
guy: Hey can you slice a suit of armor for me
me: well I am in a hurry (I check to see if I have armor upgrade kits, I really was in a hurry.. I wasnt trying to get more money out of him)
me: only way Ill slice for you is if you pay me a bunch of credits
him: Ill pay you 35k
me: 35k a slice.. I might be interested
him: no for 7 pieces (I think thats 5k a slice, but since I was in a hurry I wasnt going to do it)
me: I dont slice for the public unless its worth my time (something like this.. I later told him good luck on getting his stuff sliced)
ps. not really funny but I liked expanding his mind a little about smugglers.. if I keep it up people will start to think we actually would rather do stuff than slice their equipment

Oh, man. I hate this.
Friendly customer comes up, needs some weapons sliced.
No problem, give him the spiel (5k per),he agrees.
13 stun batons.
Needs damage slices on 'em.
11 speed slices later, all of them 25% and up....
2 damage slices, I think they were 18% and 21% (can't remember precisely).
He was good about it, but I was dissapointed.
Damn slicing gods.
Then, about 10 minutes later, I get some new player, wants me to slice his rifle.
Okay, give him the spiel (5k), he agrees.
Starter CDEF.
No, I'm not kidding.
Gave him a free slice.
The gods decided to screw with me....
35% damage.
Sigh.

Ha finally got something for this thread. Anyway. I have been keeping my Fence title for a while, since it is the only skill set I mastered so far. I was working away on slicing a rebel terminal when a couple of guys show up. One decides to ask me:
Guy: Hey Pathmi can you teach me some skills?
Me: Teach you in What?
Guy: Advance Fencing Stances and Grips
Me: Read my bio to see what I teach (I keep a list of what I can teach in the OOC part of my bio)
Guy: (frowns)
Guy: Aww, I thought you werea fencer.
The bad part is, he was from the same faction as I was....and he wasn't a newbie. I think when I get the underworld tree mastered, I'll put my Fixer title up and see what interactions I get.

i seem to have noticed a large number of posts saying the max slice for a master smuggler is at 35%... i am a master smuggler and i slice,on average,1 in every 10 for 40+%. Am i the only one geting these? my highest has been 44% damage. =P
