Yes.

And if the rest of the playerbase wouldn't accept risk attached to their wonderful sliced gear, then I'd be in favor ofmagically rolling back all weapons to their presliced stats, banningsliced gear from being traded (ie, making it Smuggler-only, since Smugglers don't seem risk-averse and can deal with this), andstarting from scratch. I want tough, universally-applicablepenalties attached to owning spice and sliced weapons. I want everyone to sweat a little bit wverytime they leave their homes with contraband. If contraband scan risk reduces business, I could care less, because this game isn't just about making credits or holding everybody's hand. Smuggling should be the riskiest profession out there, period.

YES!!

And we & those who use our services should be added right along side the Jedi on the BH Terminals if we take it too far, or get caught and local athorities/crimelords need help catching us.

But the "other" players will forbid this

To those of you who feel ripped off by NGE, here you go. "You bought an apple, you ate that apple, you enjoyed that apple. Now you've been given a lemon. Eat it, chuck it, squeeze it over a pancake. The choice is yours." As explained by "Coldreboot"

Yes - BUT I'd love to see it with the appropriate amount of reward for the risk.Look at spice - ok buffs but a really nasty downer that could potentially get you killed if you aren't very careful.Spice definately needs an increase on the reward side of the risk vs. reward equation. I would worry that the Devs would increase the risk but not the reward.

Buh? Spice needs a raise on reward? I've only very rarely had problems where downers got me into trouble, and that was my own stupid fault for not paying attention to when it'd hit. I'd say that—at least for muon and pixie—the risk/reward is spot on. Now, other spices, they could use a hand…they're pretty much useless.

Absolutely.

I think about this every time someone **edit** about my prices or the speed slice they got instead of damage or the fact that slicing is completely and utterly taken for granted by every player of the game. I think about it every time I look in my inventory at the Neutron Pixie and Muon Gold, consider using them and then go pay 10k for doc buffs and drink some brandy.

Bring on the risk and make smuggling matter.

No. I'm a smuggler and I think it's unacceptable to have any risk of loss or damage tothe item when slicing.

awww...I miss EN. Hope he's okay in Libia or Egypt or wherever the heck he ended up. I've lost track. Funny, this thread was started LOOONG ago. Like during San Tsu's tenure as correspondent in response to a debate I was having with him when the contraband rolled out. It has not outlived it's usefulness, though it has made it's point. But the point can always be made stronger so keep responding.

Without any kind of additional reward, No Way. Spice is an unprofitable joke at present, and slicing is only barely profitable enough now to justify the skillpoints. Any additional "risk" would quickly become a hassle, raise our prices, annoy our customers and further marginalize us in the eyes of the playerbase.
