You know what is really weird. I thought for sure people would have figured out this was a complete gag. Sadly alot of people are a little slow on the bell curve. You know alot of people on this forum need to take a chill pill. Realize that part of comeing here is to atleast have a little fun. Stop getting overwhelmed and enjoy the banter and conversation.
ITS A JOKE HOW OBVIOUS DOES IT HAVE TO BE.

It wasn't funny...
And if you'd paid any attention to forum history, you would've known that it wouldn't be funny...

ana-mo-cari; "By the way guys a computer cannot be random it can just generate the appearance of random. A computer cannot just make up its mind it has to follow a program a mathematical instruction. Not that a dice roll or a coin toss is necassarily all that random. On one hand people say its random and others of you say there is a curve. If the system is selectively chooseing to reduce one number from occuring thats not random."
Correct.
However, for YOUR eyes...and mine...it is effectively random because:
In the case of the dice, none of us can take into account all of the imbalances in the die, nor the small variences in forces acting on it nor the huge number of initial roll conditions that might account for variences in the distribution. EVEN if we could we couldNOT accurately predict the next roll...only the probability of the next roll. That is NOT the same thing as knowing what the next roll will be.
In the case of a pseudo-random number generator routine you have SO many things that you can NEVER know that prediction the next number generated is impossible. IF you were the only one recieving the generated numbers you MIGHT be able to see a pattern...unless, as I have personally done, the seed is regenerated each time from the system clock which returns a value in micro seconds.
Fact is that any number generators the server uses are most likely used across a HUGE number of higher level routines from slicing to combat damage to crafting experimentation results AND distributed to a HUGE number of players . YOU have NO insight into where the numbers went so you have no clue as to the sequentiality of the ones you recieved as slicing data. You also have NO clue as to how the slicing number was derived from the generic pseudo-random number served up for your particular slice (ie. random number integer.
All in all you have virtually NO information that is mandatory in trying to see any kind of a pattern. Hence, you have NO hope of ever seeing any kind of pattern other than distribution and upper and lower limts. And THAT my friend will give you no hope of ever predicting accurately the next slice.
How much clearer can I be?

You say its a joke.
Jokes are supposed to be funny.
Here's a question for you: What do you think would happen if you went into a religious anti-abortionforum and asked "Is abortion as bad as they say?"
Yes, thats an extreme, but it's the extreme sense of what you did here.
I wouldn't expect those forum goersto be accomodating.

Lol, I just KNEW no one could be as dense as ana-mo-cara pretended to be.
But then he told us it was a joke and proved me wrong.

Eh, typical forum evolution. Someone posts something, it bombs terribly, and suddenly it's either a joke, or a sociology paper project.

Geezus people. Leave ana-mo-cara alone.
It isn't mandatory for every person who comes into the smuggler forums to know the history. He is only being playful and light. Why am I the only one around here that seems to see this???
I luv ya Axob, but the first person that calls me a twit is the person that gets pistolwhipped.

Look how increadibly bored people are. That this thread keeps getting jerked to life. Here is the point of the joke. Now follow me you make a crazy theory everyone gets a laugh. A people go to great lengths to explain something that anyone who actually ground smuggler out knows to be total nonsense. B people get that its a joke and make a cute comment. C someone actually takes the time to actually understand how the bogus formula works.
Which kind of person are you?
Type A. Good natured, or overlyauthoritative. Simply has to prove a point, or explain it.
Type B. You saw the joke and got a laugh out of the responses.
Type C. Your going to end up buying swamp land in florida, or donate money to the save the housefly fund.
I would have to say there are actually only a few type As in this forum, but on the whole they are viscious and alphamales to boot. So they generate alot of mob mentality. Unless there is a gangbeatdown going on most forum guests will not even chime in.
Plenty of type Bs but slow on the uptake. Plus they are beta males. Yeah I know its a joke but I got to follow the pack.
A couple type Cs god bless you sirs though I fear you find the virgin mary in everything you look at.
I suppose if you only figured out it was a joke when I told you it was a joke it wasnt funny to you. Maybe you were getting off on argueing, or enjoying the mob mentality. Though who do you really blame for this you walked right into a punchline.

And maybe you're either:
A: An idiot who decided to say this thread wasa joke from the start, because he can't get anyone to agree.
B: Someone who just wanted to stir the pot for a cheap laugh.
When someone comes into this forum claiming they have the method to unrandomize slicing, know the pattern behind it, or a way to get a perfect damage slice every time; we will correct them. No ifs about it.

Well, here's some more 'jokes' for you that I think the other forums will find JUST as funny as the people here did:
1) Tell the entertainers their profession is useless and should be replaced by NPC's
2) Tell the carbineers they need to be nerfed
3) Tell BE's how to create lvl 90 creatures
You are extremely confused in several areas.
A) Lying and speaking out against something which is known to be true is not a joke
B) All people did was correct you by saying it was random, but then you started to insult them
C) Joke's are supposed to be funny, not retarded
E.g. I found a way to tame a CL 90 creature, I can't believe none of you have found how to do this before - Not a joke
Now all you're doing is trolling, so stop.
